Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am 70 years old. At the age of 52 I became interested in family history because of my husband's daughter. She wanted some information about her family. Others had promised information but did not come thru with it so I told her I would help her. It was so much fun I have continued with my research. I am always happy to help in the search and photo taking of a monument. I have been helped many times in the past and hope to help others in the future. One outstanding person in Camden, Missouri, Janice Pennington, who is now my dear friend, is the main reason I became interested in Find A Grave. Through Genforum I requested one picture of a monument in a cemetery fairly close to her area. She saw my request, contacted me and told me she would get the picture for me. Not only did she get that picture but she sent me over 50 other pictures of my ancestors graves in the same cemetery. Because of her and also her husband Larry, I wanted to help others find graves of their families and take photo's of the headstones. That is when I found Find A Grave. Talk about getting your prayers answered, I did. Another lady, Roberta, who lives in Indiana, went to Kentucky and took over 70 pictures for me at 4 different cemeteries of my ancestors graves. The gratitude I have for these people makes me want to grab every photo request I can to help others.
If I can make a correction or add information to a memorial page, please let me know. If you would like to have one of my memorial pages transferred to you, (if they are not a member of my family), please let me know and I will do it. Please go thru the proper channels for any changes or transfers of a memorial page.

HI, I see you maintain a few family members for Debora Hall. Are you related to her?

RE: Berryman
Yes, I am on and live here in Houston that has a genealogy library. Just last year the latter part, I found out my g-grandfathers name instead of A.C. I found him on my Aunt Harriets Berryman/Davis death certificate . His first name is Alex maybe for Alexander and his middle name is Colman. I knew one of his sons was John Colman and I had always believe his middle name was Colman. It also said in the census he was born in Mississippi. I have found him, I believe in Louisiana across the border of Texas same age living in a boarding house as a grocery worker. He was about 24. Some people in my family tree have his parents as William but in my heart I just know that is not his parents. You know when you visit a cemetery how you get the feeling you almost know where the headstone of the person you are looking for is at or you get close. I have done it more than once.
I don't know when he died, their have been guesses but can't find a death certificate on him. I know where my grandmother is buried and have a picture of her head stone. Some one once told me he was buried in the Eden cemetery, and some said in Sabine county. When my grandmother died, he fell off the earth. I check with all his children to see if he lived with them and was told by someone that he lived with his son is Apple Springs where he died.
I really wish I could find him. It is so hard not knowing where he or my grandfather Lewis is. So many heart aches for me.
Thanks and I will send you more info. You can check on my under The Davis family of Nacogdoches etc.....

I am going through my emails I save and came across your Find A Grave email you sent to me with my g-Aunt. I noticed you where a Edgar and where you kin to Daniel Paul Edgar and Julia Ann Chance?
I may have asked you before, but I can't remember if I did.
I know that my g-Aunt married a Berryman and she was a
Davis. Her father was A.C. Davis and Julia Ann Chance. I am trying to search any information on A. C. Davis and his family. I am at a brick wall and can go no further. We never knew our g-father A.C. son Lewis Davis our grandfather. My father never talked of him at all. I really want some information on his side to trace my ancestries back. If you are anyone you know, has information that would or could share, please let me know.

You're welcome.

Even though there may be numerous photo requests at ANC, there are never any open requests for more than a couple of minutes at most. There is a very rapid turnaround there.

Don't worry, venting is allowed! I agree! Actually I love the puzzles, some days. But I just enjoy doing this all the way around. I hated history. I wish they taught it like this. This site has made me educate myself and has given us something to enjoy together! You take wonderful care Joyce! You have been a pleasant breath of fresh air to chat with. I will keep in touch. And please do back. You are a kind hard working lady! Keep up the work. And if you ever need help, let me know. We will go approximately 30 miles out of are range. Heck we've gone 50 with big lists! I will go back and get better photos if you ever need. Talk soon!
