To keep weeds out of the beautiful Find A Grave garden....
First, I don't link to Unknown Burial Site Memorials as Unknown Burial Sites shouldn't be on FAG according to the guidelines of the website. The first criteria for making a memorial on FAG is having the burial site, as this is a grave registration site.
Second, I may or may not transfer outside of the guidelines to an established member. It is my choice. Long-time hard working-members, who are busy in surveying cemeteries and taking grave photos impress me more than someone who is collecting others' memorials for their personal goal or waiting for someone to find the burial sites for their numerous memorials made with an "unknown burial site".
Lastly, there are no duplicated memorials on FAG. If I find a duplicated memorial while researching this site, there is 99% chance that it will be deleted or merged eventually.
You may disagree with the guidelines but remember the guy who started Find A Grave wrote them. He is the boss.
Many of the memorials transferred to me were done without my request for them. These memorials have found a home and will be nurtured.
Also, thank you for all the flowers and tokens left on my family's memorial. They are all sincerely appreciated by me and my family.

I received your suggestions on my relatives memorials. "Do you know the guidelines states not to use ALL CAPS on the title of a memorial?" I did not realize this was a RULE since they are listed the in the same manner on Ancestry.com files to designate the surname. Can you explain why you thought it was so bad you needed to suggest a correction? That part I do not understand since you are not related to my family members.

Thank you. When I discovered the duplication, I did not know how to delete it. I am still learning my way around the software. My apologies.

How do I fix it without breaking the line from Find A Grave #129681244 to John Donelson, founder of Nashville?

Please check dates. These are not the same person.
they have different dates for birth and death.

Thanks for the heads up. I didn't originally create this memorial for William James W DuVal but had it transferred as I am a direct descendant. I think the problem is that Bev has passed away and originally we couldn't post onto the memorial. I've contacted Findagrave to see if we can resolve this.
I don't know if you realize it or not but this is a duplicated memorial of the one

They do have hours on Saturday.
There is a nice older many that works there only on Saturdays. If you can get past the receptionist.
Are you related to him?
