Lewis and I have been married 45 years and have three wonderful children and six amazing grandchildren. I just retired after 30 years as the executive assistant at the hospital in Cynthiana, Kentucky.|
When my mother-in-law died in 2003, her three children and spouses sorted through the things she treasured. Every time we came to an old picture, the others would place it in a box and say, "Give that one to Cathy. She'll make us a book." And I did! It was a labor of love, and I'm now hooked on genealogy.
When I Googled my maternal grandmother and found a picture of her headstone at Beaver Baptist Church Cemetery, I became addicted to Find A Grave. I feel like I'm preserving history, especially when I can add obituaries, pictures and family links.

Thank you ever so much for the monument photo for Nellie Jane Cloe McKinney #154953415.
|Bryan Anderson||Jesse Jones|
I am researching my paternal grandfather's WWI army unit, Company B, 355th Infantry, 89th Division. According to the History and Roster of the 355th Infantry, Jesse Jones was a member of this unit. My grandfather's name was Gunder Anderson.
I'm not sure where I'm headed with my project, but in case I ever publish anything, may I have permission to use your photo of the grave of Jesse Jones in any publication?

Sorry I couldn't get a little better picture for you,. Grass needed cutting,and for the most part, we just have to take what is there.
I know that Carol is a daughter of Marion and Mildred. The only reason I'm not linking Carol to her parents is because we don't know where her parents are buried. I won't link to Burial Unknowns because they don't belong on Find A Grave (except for recent deaths) according to the FAQ.

Cathy: "I can't thank you enough for finding the NAME of this old cemetery in the woods! Also, thank you for cleaning these old stones and photographing them so the correct dates could be clearly identified! I will always be grateful to you for this!"
|V. Case Ford||Thomas Ensor Blountville Cemetery|
FYI Tennessee has a web site TNGENWEB which records cemeteries in the state by county. Many have been surveyed and are quite complete as to burials and dates. Thomas Ensor is at least listed in Blountville Cemetery, survey done in 2008, so you can be relatively sure he is there, though his marker is evidently unrecognizable. I am a Case also, from CT, MA. |Donna (VanArsdall) Hoffman||J D Cobb & Marey E Cobb|
You have posted a photo for James Davis Cobb and Marey E Cobb in the Smith Family Cemetery in Owen County, Kentucky. We have worked that cemetery and the Mussell Shoals Cemetery, also in Owen County.
J D and Marey are located at Mussell Shoals and not in this Smith Family Cemetery.
I am contacting the person who listed them there but she will probably have to wait until you delete the photos before she can delete them from that cemetery.
