Hello, and welcome to my page. I am a Kister by birth, I live in Virginia, with my Husband & a granddaughter that we are raising.|
We have two daughters and a total of 4 granddaughters and 1 grandson.
I have lived in Utah, Idaho, California, Washington, Oregon, Alabama and Virginia. We have settled and will stay put here in the Appalachian Mountains, it is just wonderful here.
I discovered the fascinating world of Genealogy and have been researching family history since 1995.
My family on my father's side is originally from Walter & Frank, Saratov, Russia. I am part of the second generation born in the States.
On my father's side of the family, I am interested in the Sir names of Kister, Kaufmann, Babcock, Widup, Macbeth, Gettman.
On my mother's side of the family are Wright, Sweet, Jones, Brady, Cox; Hale; Paulson.
Hubby's side is Morris, Elam, Lightfoot, Coffey, Jeffrey, Koehl.
For other family memebers I'm searching Worley, Barnett, Chaney, Smith, LaMon, Umstead, Cho, Iliff, & Galardo.
When I found the Findagrave.com web site, I realized I had to be a part of it all. We actually find graves as a family hobby, we all participate, it's great!
My hubby is interested in the Revolution and Civil wars.
I like to search and add names in local grave yards that are not presently on the database, and finding old obits on the net that hasn't been added as yet.
If anyone finds info that I have submitted wrong, please bring it to my attention and I will correct it right away. Comments and suggestions are welcome. If you can suggest changes or additions to any memorial that I've posted, please don't hesitate to let me know.
If you see a family member or loved one, and wish to have ownership, please don't hesitate to ask.
Your's in grave finding, Barbie :)

What do I have to do to maintain this site. Yes this my mom baby brother. Who would have been my uncle?
|Shawn Knieriem||RE: Re: Abraham Gobble|
I hope I responded to this earlier...
if not, then yes, I would like that very much.
|Shawn Knieriem||RE: Re: Abraham Gobble|
Absolutely! Thank you. Shawn

Thanks for your reply. I know part of Saltville is in Smyth and part in Washington. Same problem with Carroll, Wythe, Grayson Counties in Va.
Depends on who is writing the info down as to what county they think they are working in.
Very confusing when I was researching in those counties.

That is a very generous offer. I am not a family member, but I would honor the memorial. My goal is to ascertain that each Patriot that I can find who fought at BKM have a memorial and have his service acknowledged as you have done so conscientiously.
Thank you for your generosity!

Yes, my maiden name was Wambolt. I'd be delighted if you would transfer the memorial to me. My id is 48477862.

Yes, I believe you have his mother. Kay Douglass
|Jane Marie Morrison||RE: Elizabeth McConnell|
Yes, Elizabeth Willoughby McConnell is on my husband's line. That would be so sweet of you if you transferred her over. Her memorial is 38445493
Captain Thomas McConnell is really an Ensign - not a captain. I believe I sent you a photo of his military headstone application. They scratched out the word captain and replaced it with Ensign. If I didn't, let me know and I'll email it again.
She was the 3rd wife of Thomas McConnell. They were married December 25, 1835 in Washington county, Virginia.
|Marcia Lynne vonGunden||Transfer and a big thank you|
Thank you for your generosity in transferring:
Katherine Eastridge Blevins Hayes # 80377316
to my care. I have successfully connected her with her parents, husband and listed her nine children. As I receive more information, I will add it to Our shared memorial.
With sincerest appreciation,
