Lewis and I have been married 44 years and have three wonderful children and six amazing grandchildren. I have been the executive assistant at the hospital in Cynthiana, Kentucky, for 28 years.|
When my mother-in-law died in 2003, her three children and spouses sorted through the things she treasured. Every time we came to an old picture, the others would place it in a box and say, "Give that one to Cathy. She'll make us a book." And I did! It was a labor of love, and I'm now hooked on genealogy.
When I Googled my maternal grandmother and found a picture of her headstone at Beaver Baptist Church Cemetery, I became addicted to Find A Grave. I feel like I'm preserving history, especially when I can add obituaries, pictures and family links.

HI Cathy, I added Joseph Wyles info to his memorial. Are you a relative of his? I could transfer his memorial if you are.

It was pretty bad, but I went during our phoney winter and the veg was still died back (not good grammar but I'm from Tennessee after all!) Many of the more prominent stones were toppled and I could make out some POINDEXTERS, but not enough data to make a meaningful image. Overall, seriously endangered, considering that I found four good stones with birth bef 18th c. making it historic in my book.

Thanks very much for the update, I will probably go to enjoy the scenery, but cycling kit and burrs are not compatible. I retired last year and I can spend some time on it. Thanks again!

Do you remember if you imaged everything visible? I would assume so, since there are only supposed to be 10 burials there. There are requests for all the CRAIGMYLES in there, and if I cycle up there the 26 miles and find only what you were able to image, I will get a good ride in, but not be able to fill the requests. If you got everything that was legible, I can close the requests without a guilty twinge. Thanks!

|E L Hon||Callie Pate- Ruddles Mill|
You have created a memorial page for Callie Pate. She is one of my relatives. You have also posted a picture of her headstone. She is buried in Ruddles Mill Methodist Church cemetery.
I was at that cemetery in April 2012 & was also there today. I have walked that entire cemetery several times & am unable to find Callie's headstone.
Could you please tell me where she is located in that cemetery or where you came by the picture of her headstone. It's a good sized headstone & it simply baffles me that I've been to the cemetery twice and have not been able to find her.
Thanks, Lynn Hon
