I am Cherie Lynn Knight Jones. I grew up in Birmingham, Alabama. One of the regular family activities while growing up was going to visit the family graves keeping them clean and planting flowers. I learned how to find the ancestors and the cousins, visiting local county records offices, searching through dusty basements and then using phone books and dropping by the local newspaper to find the relies – dead and living. I worked in an Alabama cemetery for five years and then went on to become a journalist and photographer, living in Asia, the Middle East and finally Canada before returning to the United States. Now I research and enjoy family history. As I have found the ancestors and the cousins through the years, more and more I began to see how all people are related. Whether by blood or marriage in ancestry, whether by places or events in history, or whether by a common haplo-group thousands or tens of thousands of years ago we are all connected in life and in death – and on findagrave.|
I have had great pleasure in finding ancestors for my children and theirs, and my husband and immediate family, and all my cousins. The Virtual Cemeteries are for all of yall. You will recognize who is who in the list.
For my children: you see my lines now split into my paternal and my maternal. But you also see Knight that I have made for my Knight Cousins who are not related to Mz Pearl's lines. You will also see your children's additional sides lines. I will also work on splitting the Money ancestors into a paternal and maternal virtual group as well. But you do have a lot here already and as others can be located I will make memorials for them and add them to your virtual groups.

Lee as in Robert E Lee, Richard Henry Lee or Lee Boem Suk?
Just had to clarify from your message.

Thanks, Cherie! Will get to work on the memorial. And, why yes, I guess technically we must be cousins-in-law. LOL!

Hey Cherie Lynn, loved your bio and all you do for Find A Grave. I was just reading an article on Norma Jean Bauerschmidt and decided to find her on Find A Grave. In doing so I see that there are 2 memorials for her, created the same day. Yours is #170740623 and the other one is #170738627 that shows her burial place and photos, along with links to her husband and daughter. I wanted to bring it to your attention in case you were inclined to delete your entry. I always try to check my names but have myself entered duplicates that I end up erasing. May we all live like Norma! - Caroline

Yes I did the DNA test with Ancestry and am in a DNA circle with Davd Green MCCleskey and Lucy Byrd my paternal grandmother was a MCCleskey I also have DNA at FTDNA but it's maternal side only
|Mary Beth Henley||Thomas Byrd McCleskey|
My 3 greats grandfather George Washington McCleskey 161267861 was according to my research a brother to Thomas Byrd McCleskey they were the sons of David Green McCleskey and Lucy Byrd
The problem is I have GWM's birthdate as 3-21-1821
and you have TBM's birthdate as 3-31-1821 that would be impossible unless they were twins and the birthdate is wrong or my or your dates are incorrect I'm not perfect so if mine is wrong I would like to correct it Do you have any info n on this
Sincerely Mary Beth Henley firstname.lastname@example.org

You're welcome. I had hoped to get a better shot of the inscription on the side of the memorial but it wasn't possible due to the light on the day.

Hi Cherie Lynn,
Sorry for not getting back to you sooner (didn't see your note). Yes, I am new to Find A Grave. I would be happy to take on Ida's memorial. Feel free to transfer to me.
