Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am Cherie Lynn Knight Jones. I grew up in Birmingham, Alabama. One of the regular family activities while growing up was going to visit the family graves keeping them clean and planting flowers. I learned how to find the ancestors and the cousins, visiting local county records offices, searching through dusty basements and then using phone books and dropping by the local newspaper to find the relies dead and living. I worked in an Alabama cemetery for five years and then went on to become a journalist and photographer, living in Asia, the Middle East and finally Canada before returning to the United States. Now I research and enjoy family history. As I have found the ancestors and the cousins through the years, more and more I began to see how all people are related. Whether by blood or marriage in ancestry, whether by places or events in history, or whether by a common haplo-group thousands or tens of thousands of years ago we are all connected in life and in death and on findagrave.

I have had great pleasure in finding ancestors for my children and theirs, and my husband and immediate family, and all my cousins. The Virtual Cemeteries are for all of yall. You will recognize who is who in the list.

For my children: you see my lines now split into my paternal and my maternal. But you also see Knight that I have made for my Knight Cousins who are not related to Mz Pearl's lines. You will also see your children's additional sides lines. I will also work on splitting the Money ancestors into a paternal and maternal virtual group as well. But you do have a lot here already and as others can be located I will make memorials for them and add them to your virtual groups.

RE: Hicks
Sorry about that, I attached Jeremiah Hicks to Grover Hicks, because I don't know where Grover Hicks' dad, John M. Hicks, is buried at and couldn't find John M. Hicks obituary too.

Thanks for your response. The Massey connection is definitely this same cemetery - thanks for checking further. Regards, Sharon

Academy Hill Cemetery
Hi Cheri Lynn

First, thank you so much for your time and trouble in uploading these pictures.

In regards to the Academy Hill Cemetery near Grafton, Ontario, my 3rd great-grandfather is in this cemetery and have not as yet uploaded the pictures that I have taken.

However, the Academy Hill Cemetery I am referring to is in Haldimand Township, Northumberland County, Ontario near Grafton (just east of Cobourg).

Is this the same cemetery that is shown to be in your records to be Haldimand-Norfolk?

Grew up in Northumberland County, and know many people get Haldimand Township, Northumberland, mixed up with Haldimand County. Don't want to upload pictures on to the wrong cemetery page.

Many thanks. Regards,

Sharon

Find A Grave Memorial# 1288901
Title: Don
Text: It is certain that he was deceased by 25 November 1671 when orders of the General Court of Virginia were given to preserve the estate of his orphans. Robert Taliaferro was only 45 years old.

Katherine is also my 9 or 10 great ...but, I will probably transfer her memorial to you. I don't know about you, but I am getting on up in years and it won't be long that I will need to transfer all of Memorials to a younger person.

Katherine Debnam Taliaferro
2 or 3 weeks ago someone transferred the Findagrave website that they set up for Katherine Debnam Taliaferro to me..Janis Masters...I do not know the person that transferred it to me ..they did not get my permission...I did not put any of the information that is at the findagrave for Katherine Debnam Taliaferro.

I cannot remove the memorial as I am not the one that placed it...I did edit and state that Katherine's burial place is unknown.

RE: Can't share, can you?
Cherie, You fail to understand anything that was explained to you. Wikipedia is only used until an original bio by someone is written. There is no need to cite sources because everything about a famous person is common knowledge. In other words there are scores of sources with the same info. I delete messages after they are read because there would be dozens of messages piling up for no reason. And yes others have wrongly complained to me and other contributors because they think they put a bio in, that is the one the administrators take. You seem to think I have all this power on the site and decide which bio is take. Your problem is with the administrators of the site. Not the contributors. Also, I was never helped when I started adding famous bios. I learned from my mistakes and still make mistakes too. I suggest you just let this go.

RE: Can't share, can you?
Again, the administration is the one who decides on which bio to take. There is no need to cite info for the bio since it needs to be written in your own words. The info is general knowledge. If mine was added two days later then you had two days to improve yours. So do not direct your anger at me! If you are crying over a website, I can think of hundreds of things to cry over more that this. What bio was the one in question anyhow? You never even named who it is for.

RE: Can't share, can you?
Additionally, I have no control over who gets credit for adding the memorial. The administrator are the only one. So before you go off acting like a little child who didn't get their way, maybe you should be aware of this fact.
