I have been doing genealogy for over 18 years. I decided to join Daughters of the American Revolution in 2004. DAR is a wonderful organization that has a highly respected genealogy reputation. It was something I could do to use my genealogy information and serve God, Home, and Country. Find A Grave is a wonderful help in my search for ancestors. Thanks to all the great people who have tromped through the graveyards to take pictures for me.|

You are quite welcome and it was a great joy to give back family to family if you will understand what I mean. Our family is the most important asset we have or will ever have outside of God's love.

Are you related to Betty? I can transfer ownership of her memorial if you are. I am no relation.

I will be glad to take the picture for you. I just got back from vacation so it might be a couple of days before I make it over there. Please let me know if you have someone else that is interested in going.

Sorry I am doing the whole cemetery and that is what I found. But what a beautiful picture of her!

My family descends from Robert's younger brother, Brooke G. Hereford, so we are indeed cousins. It's been a while since I've had that picture--I can't tell you exactly where I found it. I've done a lot of googling of Robert L. Hereford, because he is just so fascinating. I have an idea that it came from a book originally. I've seen others online, in various places such as Ancestry.com that have the same picture.
I do recognize your name--are you in the facebook page of Robert Lewis Hereford descendents that Kenny Smith maintains? If not, I suggest you join.
Sorry I couldn't be more helpful on this.

You are most welcome.

My dad was of the last generation to live in the old house. I believe that a good bit if not most of the old documents/heritage have been passed down to him. The farm was sold by my grandfather to a power company in the mid 1950s. All the structures are gone. All that is left are random piles of scrap metal and stone/brick and the remnants of the cemetery. My brother and I are meeting our dad there this Sunday afternoon to pick dad's brain about where the house, etc were located and to show him what progress we've made at the cemetery. We would love to find the areas where the house and church stood.
