Ever since I was twelve years old I have loved genealogy. I joined this site so I can create memorial sites for my close and distant relatives. |
My background has been in newspapers, radio, and television; all forms of advertising; and telecommunications. Besides media jobs, I've owned several businesses too.
I am looking for the names of Conley (Connelly, Connely), Coyle, Fisher, Hackworth, Hahn, Hine, McDermott, Robe, and the Alexanders from Ohio and Canada. Most of my immediate family are from Ohio and Kentucky but they can also be found in New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina.
My daughter is also interested in information about her father's family. His family is from Texas, Oklahoma, Indiana, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and South Carolina, and includes the names of Bryant, Dunlap, Gossett, Livermon, Peppers, Redding, Sexton, and Thornburg. Any information you can provide us is very much appreciated. Please send messages to my member page.
We offer this Irish blessing as comfort to you and your families:
Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there ..... I do not sleep.
I am the thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you waken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
of gentle birds in circling flight,
I am the soft star that shines at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there ..... I did not die.

|Forever Memories||Thornburg Family|
Hi Suzanne, I am a descendant of the Thornburg family. Would like to exchange emails with you.
|Charles E. Carroll||Gilliam Walston|
You may be getting your Gilliam's confused.
The Gilliam of 1877-1949 is buried at Mt. Pisgah.
He is not linked but you will have to contact Rusty Walston. He is the memorial manager.
The parents of Gilliam Walston (memorial #68848431)have not been identified.
No birth or death dates have been found.
Thank you for the link to her father.

Sorry that it has taken me soo long to reply. To Answer your question, I'm related to the Hackworths from Eastern Kentucky. Andrew Jackson is related to my Grandmother, who was a Snipes from Prestonburg.
|Beth (Shupe) Sheets||Alexander/Shupe|
I am Maud Marlene (Alexander) Shupe's granddaughter. She is missing from the list of (A)Della Alexander's children, but I believe she was the eldest surviving child. I believe Della had a child stillborn, possibly before my grandmother. My father was Herbert Jackson Shupe (m. Dec. 22, 1946 to Frances Charlene Swan) and is buried in Wilson Cemetery, Newark, Ohio. He was an only child, and my grandparents would have had another son (younger than Dad) but he was stillborn.
Some of the information about David and Della's children came to us (my sister and me) through the settlement of Wayne Bell's estate. He was Janet's only child, and he passed on with no spouse or children.
My sister lives in Newark, Ohio and I live in Heath, Ohio. My husband and I have two sons and one grandson.
|Thomas Swinehart||Alexander/ Fisher|
Additional alexander/ Fisher picts in Forest Rose Cemetry in Lancaster OH have posted
If you'd like transfers of any of the other family members that I linked to them, just let me know!
|Rodney Van Hook||RE: Hey!|
My grandmother was raised in Bonanza, KY (Floyd County) and our family are direct decedents of the Snipes, Hackworths, and Conleys (different spellings of the last name over the last 200 years). I've noticed that some of your posts on the Hackworth's are my family members ;-)
|Rodney Van Hook||Hey!|
Noticed that you posted on the grave sites that I added. How are you related to them? If so, I would love to exchange information with you.
|Brent Nimmo||RE: Re # 70301065|
The cemetery photo I took years ago was accepted for use on Findagrave. I think there is an option for the owner to request cemetery photos not be shown on their memorials, but one cannot delete a submitted cemetery photo...Thank-Brent
p.s. I want a Vette like Robert's!
