My name is Catherine. I became interested in family history in 2002. One of my younger cousins died,and after his funeral several family members were discussing our family and we realized that we did not know a lot about our heritage.
Since that time I have gathered a lot of info. and pics. It has become important to me to know everyone's final resting place. I am grateful to F.A.G. for providing a place to preserve and share my research. Also, I want to thank the many kind people that have taken pics for me.
Family names are Byard, Cox, Crowder, Dixon, Rollins, Kendall and Kerns.
If you have additional info or corrections for anyone that I have listed please notify me.

You are quite welcome. It was a beautiful morning here in Wetzel County and I thought I should take advantage. It was my pleasure to assist.

Hey Cat, so what do you think about Joe passing in 1887? And what about Melvin Leek's daughter saying that Joe has passed away. We always heard like you heard that the divorced or separated. -Maurice
(sure wish we were going to meet you finally, at the family reunion this week.

Can you please tell me the location of this cemetery? I am not family with the area, but will be driving through soon. My 3rd gg is buried there.

I wish I could have gotten a better picture of the marker, but that was about the best I could do.
The marker is very weathered... almost like it's made of a granite this is dissolving, and throw in a few lichens, it made it a little challenging.
Have a great day!

I found which cemetery Violet was buried in, so if you can change burial unknown, we may be able to get someone to get a photo. 6.[S545] Cemetery Readings: Heavner Cemetery Readings, Including: Old Babtist, Carper, Catholic Sisters, Buckhannon Memorial Park, Upshur County Historical Society, 2001, p. 80, Memorial Park at Heavner, Lot # 37A

|sherry lynn winters||Regarding Louisa Dixson|
Hi Cat! =^..^=
Do you happen to know if the Louisa Dixson that you have listed (findagrave # 40554452) was married to 1st husband: Richard D. Winters and 2nd husband: Jasper Newton Dixson? If so, it would be my GGG-grandmother.. except that I can't locate the "Banks" maiden name. I always thought her maiden name was Redden? Thanks for any info! I was thinking I put a note on the right person.. now I'm not so sure. :0/
