It's always the start of an adventure to get requests from FAG, then doing the research as to location of the cemetery & the grave. We usually try to do several cemeteries in a single county at a time. The most enjoyable trips are the old small cemeteries off the country lanes. We really are partial to the "thumb" area of Michigan. Keep those requests coming!
For years my husband & I have traveled the east coast to photograph our own family headstones. It's a joke that our vacations always include a cemetery somewhere. Even if we don't find exactly who we're looking for it gets us out and walking.

 | Homer A. Letts - Evergreen Cemetery Memorial #68259583. You had posted a photo for his parents, which includes his name on the gravestone. I copied your photo and posted on Homer's memorial.
The question I have is whether or not you live in Michigan, or were you just there on vacation?
I ask because my interpretation of Hommer's date of death was 1892 based on the photo. However, another researcher found a date of death of 1883 using the FHL information posted which is just a transcription and not the actual records.
I was wondering if it would be possible to go to this cemetery and recheck the grave marker to verify the date of death. I would like to have a close up taken of both the birth and death dates for Homer and have them posted on this memorial.
I realize that it is December and perhaps there is quite a lot of snow on the ground, but the cemetery marker does appear to be large enough that perhaps the snow line hasn't reached Homer's dates.
If you aren't in the area, then let me know and I'll post another photo request asking for date confirmation. Thanks in advance.

 | RE: Richard Fockler Headstone Thank you, I triple check before I add to ancestry.com. I've found a few mistakes between the two sites, so I make sure that's the person's headstone. Thanks again, Shelley | | | Shelley Boring
 | Richard Fockler Headstone Hi, My name is Shelley Boring and I was wondering if it is ok to use your picture of Richard and his wife's headstone on my Burial info at Ancestry.com. Fockler's are my Aunt Betty's by marriage kin. Ancestry.com has hooked up with Find a grave, and it's really neat to be able to add the headstones to the persons profile page. Thanks, Shelley Boring | | | Lynn

Feel free to add photos from the cemetery to the memorials that I have added. They are my old neighborhood and there for everyone to remember who. Thanks again for the work and enjoyment you receive from your efforts. s.
