Descendants from American Revolutionary War patriots, Western pioneers in covered wagons, French Huguenots, German winegrowers, Japanese revolutionaries, Northern Yankees and Southern Rebels, farmers, foundry workers, coal miners... your usual tired, weary, huddled masses, yearning to be free!|
Genealogy for me is a voyage of self-discovery, to unlock family secrets and to connect with history. I'm astonished and impressed by how ancestors overcame hardships and setbacks, to persevere at their occupations and successfully raise families.
Plantation owners and slaves could never have envisioned their descendants collaborating online to research shared family histories... that's for sure!

I would like to send you 2 more photos of his Confederate record. If you can delete the two posted by Martha Reid #19, I can add these, I think. Thanks! Julie Hardaway email@example.com

Do you know where William Oren Holman is buried? Some where in California I think.
Can you tell me exactly where McCastar Cemetary is in Wilcox County?

Hi John: You are welcome. It would be so nice to find all the requests. Some just aren't possible. I was very interested to find out at Fairview Cemetery that Ed Schoenburger, who was the former sexton of the cemetery, was able to hand make over 350 headstones for those who did not have them. But he had to have the exact location of each burial. Some of them he could not locate. He is a very interesting man. He said that everyone in the cemetery had a story and each one needed to be honored.

thank you for the transfer. I just spent about an hour taking photos of all the headstones at the Cope Cemetery, and several hours uploading, etc.
Thanks for all you do.
|Susan Roth||Nancy Pedigo|
Nancy Pedigo is listed in the cemetery record book at Fairview Cemetery in Greensburg, KS. However, there is a notation showing that her location is "unknown."
|Susan Roth||Re James Totty|
There is no record found at Fairview Cemetery in Greensburg, Kiowa County, for James Totty.

It was a good one, wasn't it? I love when the obit gives details about their life.
|Juanita Bauer||RE: William Bauer|
After I hit send on my first message I realized I referred to William Bauer as Joe's Uncle. I was thinking about Joe's Dad's brother, William Bauer and then I realized I had emailed you about Joe's Grandfather William Bauer. I'm sorry for the confusion. I know we're talking about Joe's Grandfather. If you can send me your personal email address I'll send you the information you're asking for. What all do you want to know? Joe's sister, Betty said one time that her daughter Jennifer had corresponded with someone about the Bauer's but I don't know if that was you or not.
