I am very actively pursuing family information. I maintain an Ancestry.com tree, and my brother and I have family photo sites on Smug Mug, where we display all the photos we get from family members and kind souls who share on these programs in hopes of preserving and sharing them with all families who need them. It occurred to me when going through my mother and grandmother's huge trunks full of photos that it was sad for one family to have all those treasures and not share. And, so began my many, many hours of scanning and sharing photos and information.|
I also enjoy visiting other memorials and cemetaries and adding flowers, pictures or data to memorials that have no information, or very little. My husband and I walk through cemetaries quite often, and find the headstones so interesting. I love adding to the history of these people, and it grieves me to find one that says "unknown" on a headstone. Genealogy has become a true passion.
My lines are Duncan, Mather, Dodson, Smith, Moore, Bullion, Curtis, Whitehead, Barron, Reid, and you know how that goes - many more! I am happy to share information and photos with those seeking help, and so very much appreciate all that is shared with me.
I live in the Hill Country of Texas, am married, and enjoying retirement.
Please feel free to use my information and any photos I have posted. I do not understand the fuss about using someone's photos. If they are sacred and personal, then don't post them, is my philosophy. We are all here to help one another and share for this and future generations. So many photos get lost in fires, animals getting into boxes, etc., so why keep them private? After we are all gone, our grandchildren and gr-grandchildren will someday be searching for images and information, and if I took it with me, they would be left at a loss. There are so many members in my family who suffered fires, floods and other losses. But, at one time they DID have a photo of "Great Uncle John", however, now due to some unforseen circumstance, it's lost forever..... Think about it.
God bless and and Happy Trails..

|Stone Seeker II||Adding Photos to memorials|
Please DO NOT add obituary photos to the memorials I make. Find A Grave states (No photos taken from other web sites!!!) I have removed them and ask that you do not post them in the memorials I make.
Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

Thanks for the obit for Ms. Sanchez. Have added it to her memorial per your request. Thanks again for all you hard work with Find a Grave.
Thanks so much for the lovely compliment. I so agree with your philosopy on photos and sharing. I can thank my mother for taking a lot of pictures and those old black/whites have stayed good to this day. Wish some of my ancestors would have done the same. I did get some treasures from close cousins though. Thanks again.

Glad I could help with Joyce.
Could you transfer LillyKate Stone Covington #90943427 to me. She is my aunt and I would like to add information for her and link her to her parents and my dad.
Thank you so much,

I am working on the Center Cemetery and have my mother's (VerNell Stone) book that she kept on each interment. I thought you might like this as Joyce wrote the info down herself.

Took a Beauty Course in San Antonio and did beauty shop work off and on. Worked at Lometa Auction Barn until hired as a teacher's aide at the Lometa School. Retired as a teacher's aide after 27 years. Had polio in August 1952: Scottie was born on the 4th and took polio on 7th, and couldn't walk for a year. Had three little ones, Nelda (4), Billie (2) and Scott (a baby). Update: Nelda Gay's daughter died on May 19, 2000 and is buried at Harmony Ridge Cemetery in San Saba County."

Hi, Yes, I will add all the info, but it will be a few days because I am working on a DRT application that I am trying to get done this week. And, I know what you mean about getting involved. I do it all the time myself. The work you have done on the Wade family is fantastic! Thanks, Judy
