I am 70 years young and love doing genealogy. My main lines are: Reed-Purnell-Ritchey-Galloway-Maryott. Most of my ancestors are in Pennsylvania and Maryland. I would like to connect with anyone researching these lines.
RE: John William Shea-#132500985 I sent you an email, but just in case it gets routed to the 'junk' site, here is a funeral obit on Anna. I also created a Find A Grave for her.
Cumberland News; Cumberland, Allegany Co, Md Tuesday, May 21, 1974 - pg 8, col 6 MRS. SHEA SERVICE FROSTBURG.—A service, for Mrs. Annie L. Shea, 92, formerly of 73 West Main Street,; who died Saturday, will be conducted today at 10 a.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church. Rev. Richard J. Brown will officiate. Interment will be in St. George Cemetery, Mt, Savage.
Baltzer Conrad Just noticed your picture request for the stone of Baltzer Conrad in Newry, PA. The memorial page 114551823 says he d. 1851. The various public trees on Ancestry say 1850 or 1851, without explaining why. Is there absolute proof that this is when he died? Reason I ask is that I have been uploading cemetery pix for St. Patrick Cemetery and have one for a (broken stone) ... TZIER CONRAD who died at some point in 1845. (The month and day are gone with the broken stone.)
I have posted it on Findagrave at #154922991 Unfortunately, any age disappeared with the bottom part of the stone. That might have clinched it. Baltzer's wife looks like she's living with daughter Elizabeth in the 1850 census, but Baltzer isn't around.
Have a look at #154922991 and tell me what you think.
RE: Donaciano Jojola-#85239823 Why thank you for words of encouragement, Margaret...and you may certainly use picture per your description, but I want you to know I was intending to get another shot with sun-shifted view next time I go to Mount Calvary as I had a similar problem with another person's picture I attempted last week and figure if I find fault with my own pictures I should try again ~ :(
