Bio Photo "Genealogy begins as an interest, becomes a hobby, continues as an avocation and, in the last stages, is an incurable disease." - Unknown

I have the disease. Born in Bryan, Ohio in 1951 and raised in Montpelier, Ohio, I have been a family researcher since high school (although my most intense work has been in the last twenty years). I research the following families: Amber, Church, Colbert, Crist, Disbrow, Freeman, Gettys, Gier, Hatfield, Kanable, Musser, Parks, Pool, Scott, Snow, Worthington, and also maintain a large group of non-kinsmen burials (take a look; you may be related!). In recent years, I have been available to help others with their ancestors in Williams Co. Ohio. Thanks to all who have left flowers at my memorials, those who have posted photos at my memorials and many thanks to all Find A Grave contributors who have aided me in my search! I'm not a numbers person; Find A Grave has been a great opportunity to find and link ancestors and kinsmen! I ask that you please not use my photos without my permission. I will give permission for the use of my photos off-site to anyone who requests it (I must be cited as the originator of the photos). Family and person photographs posted by me are either in my possession or donated to me for my use. I will transfer ANY memorial (excepting immediate family) if you can prove relationship (proof is more than saying it is so). If a family member wishes to have a memorial that I have created removed, please contact me and I will remove it. I post obituaries per Find A Grave guidelines only (75 years before current). As a general rule, I fulfill photo requests from May through September and weather permitting. I am a 'purist' photographer; I will not physically enhance or alter gravestones, but will use lighting and photo angles to enhance readability when possible. Please be certain that your photo request is not for a duplicate memorial. Always remember the two most important words in the English language - 'Please' and 'Thanks'.

RE: Ira and Leola Braun
Wow. Thank you for that research! (Another family member and I were both trying to figure it out, but a remarriage didn't cross our minds.)I very much appreciate that you took the time and made the effort to share the information.

Best wishes.

RE: Files at Shaffer Cemetery
Yes, the Files' stones were all in a row. Walking north the stone for James A. and Mary, was first. The stone for Susie, was next, near a large cedar tree and the two infant stones were on the north side of the tree. You can see the infant stones were in disarray. I can only assume that both stones had the short spire that is laying at the base of the tree. However, one is missing. Ken
