My given name is Paulina Margareta Lukosius and my married name is Paula M Brown. I was born in Caracas, Venezuela and came to the U.S. when I was 8 months old and my family settled in Chicago, IL. In about 1985, I started putting together charts and biographies of maternal and paternal families so that my children, grandchildren and beyond can benefit from the work that has been done. |
What started with my family, as well as my husband's family has turned into helping others to preserve their history and documents. This is definitely an addicting hobby that has a labor of love value attached to it. This has been such a wonderful hobby for me, not to mention the wonderful people that I have met and become friends with.
I have learned so much through the dead that I have really come to enjoy History, a subject I was never really found of when I was a child. I love visiting cemeteries and even more so helping other preserve their family history.

I've made the parent links for Clay T. Armstrong. I'll happily transfer this memorial to you if you wish.
Thanks for the info.

Paula, I just got a message from the photo contributor that the photos had been removed from the Jolly memorials. Thank you for pointing that out to me. Ralph

Paula, I was not implying you are critical. I was just having a hard time understanding what the error was. The stones on both memorial are identical. My vision is not very good. So I had to click on them to enlarge and also had to squint. The photo volunteer that mounted them had a complaint on their bio that others had been removing photos from their memorials and mounting them on others. That may be the problem since those memorial's gravestones were identical. Read the bio. Thank you for the help.

I am only a family history researcher just as you are. I have no interest or need of same in the ownership of the gravestones you mentioned. If I said or did something to indicate that, please let me know and I will do whatever to correct that. I am the researcher that created the Parks family tree that has approximately 1400 descendants including what was available to me of your Jolly family. Thank you, Ralph Franks

You're very welcome! I have some other Reineking photos from there that I'll be posting soon. I'll let you know when I do.
|The Tanners||RE: Alfred Reineking|
Thanks for letting me know. I'll try to make it to St. John's Lutheran this week to get their photos.
|The Tanners||Alfred Reineking|
I looked for Alfred's marker this morning at St. John's Church and couldn't find it. It's a rather small cemetery and my husband & I searched the whole thing.
I'm wondering if maybe he was buried at St. John's Lutheran Church cemetery. I looked at his obituary in the Paducah Sun and it said he was a member there.
Here's a link to the obit:

Hi! I see you have a photo request for Cedar Hill Cemetery in Suitland Maryland. I'm taking a trip there soon and I'm planning on trying to fulfill as many requests as I can. Since this cemetery is so large (about 80,000 graves) it would help to have the section and plots of the burials. I have spoken to Carmelita Walker from CHC. She said she can't give locations of these sites to me since I'm not related but she said if you call her at 301-568-5400 & tell her that you're a relative (or think you may be!) she can give it to you. She said there's no charge for this information. If you could get the info soon (by 9/6) that would be great! If you are no longer interested in fulfilling the request for whatever reason, just let me know too so I can cross it off my list. Thanks!
