Bio and Links
Bio Photo I'm new to the genealogy thing, but not new to a fascination with the historical importance of cemeteries. My father taught me that, not to mention the respect we must accord the dead.

Living in Rhode Island, one of the original thirteen colonies, I'm surprised at the way people died at the beginning of this nation. One of the most horrifying I've seen is a little boy who was "scaulded to death" when he fell into a large cauldron in which his mother was making soap.

Another shocker was the grave of a man surrounded by his five wives, four of whom died in childbirth.

I hope that someday, I'll be able to contribute to photo requests for certain cemeteries in Rhode Island.

Since you took the time to read this "bio", please know my appreciation and best wishes that you have a great day.

** Edit: since I wrote this, my father Zacharias P. Rouvelas died. A very kind person created a memorial for him. Another kind person created one for his parents, my grandparents, both of whom died relatively young. I was shocked to see them all listed. Shocked and very grateful. xox

*** EDIT: I will no longer be offering information regarding deceased relatives unless asked. This also includes translations of Latin "illnesses". I'm sorry, but I don't need the needless drama as caused by many on this site. I apologise and I thank you for your support and care. Bless you.
