Bio Photo Please visit my cousins' & my dad's memorial pages and leave a flower for them. Memorial #119920504 and #121998464, and #24134532. Thank you so much!!
I became interested in my family's history about 15 years ago. Since then I've located many relatives, some living, most not, mainly through internet research. My family lines are Wilder, Watson, Pearson, Howell, Hazel, Marberry, Young, and Robinson. Several distant cousins who found me online very generously gave me the Hazel family Bible with the names of my forefathers inscribed in it & a Hazel photo album of my ancestors.Prior to receiving those, I hadn't known then names of my Hazel ancestors, much less what they looked like! What gifts they were!
I have also worked on my husband's family tree and the main surnames in his tree are Lane, Bryant, Shepherd, Barnett, Potts, Armstrong, Killick & White-West. Working on these lines with other family members (Sue!) has cemented lifelong friendships that I cherish.
For me, the last chapter of documenting an ancestor's life is finding their final resting place and hopefully, getting a photograph of their grave. It is my way of honoring them and preserving their memory for generations to come.
Find-a-Grave has been such a great tool in completing the stories of so many of my ancestors. Many wonderful volunteers have provided photographs for me and I hope to be able to do the same for others. Any photographs I have posted on findagrave may be used without permission or any credit given. The more people who share the photos the longer our departed loved ones will be remembered!
I have been married for over 30 years. I have 3 adult children, and 1 shelter dog. Now that my kids are grown and on their own I am able to devote more time to what I love to do - work on my family tree! They all think I'm a little over the top with my passion for genealogy, and I would have to say, I agree with them!

RE: ELIJAH PINKNEY BOBO
Thank you for verifying the date! I just wanted to be sure about it. And thank you for making the memorials.

ELIJAH PINKNEY BOBO
I finally figured why I asked for photo of marker... Elijah Pinkney Bobo is age 13 in 1860 census, and married in 1868.
I have his birthdate as 16 Nov 1846. I believe whoever made the memorial erred in 10 Nov 1816.
I could not tell from the picture of the monument whether I am right. Did you by chance make note of the dates?
I just sent this to Scudder/Sander. Can you help with this? Elijah is listed as Elnah in 1850 census at age 4.
Thank you,
Jeanette in Oklahoma
My twin sister lived at Elkton, OR for years.

RE: Pearson Cemetery - Bedford County, TN
You are so welcome! We are related, what fun!

Pearson: Enoch Pearson (died in Union County, South Carolina) to William, to Kindred (who married Sidney Jane Watson, daughter of John Watson and Elizabeth Whitmore), to John Enoch Pearson, to Mary Long Pearson (who married a Floyd), etc.

Floyd: Enoch Floyd (died Spartanburg County, South Carolina), to David, to Elijah Thomas (who married Sallie Watson, another daughter of John Watson and Elizabeth Whitmore), to William (who married Sallie Gowen, daughter of James Burns Gowen and Anne Price), to Elijah Thomas Floyd (who married Mary Long Pearson, daughter of John Enoch Pearson and Jane Newsom), etc.

We'll be heading back to the cemetery to do a bit of clean up and some rubbings and I'll find the rest that we're looking for.

John Watson gave one daughter's hand to a Floyd and the other daughter's to a Pearson! I'm pretty sure where John Watson is buried, I just need help in moving a fallen tree... then I'll find him. That's what sons are for... LOL! I'll keep you posted!

Pearson Cemetery - Bedford County, TN
Hello! My family originates from William Pearson and his son, Kindred. My husband and I headed over to the Pearson Cemetery today and photographed every headstone. There are a few that are still buried... we found some buried ones. Just thought you'd want to know! We'll go back and do some clean up and more rubbings... need to find John Watson! Which Pearson line do you come from? Margie

Forest Hill Cemetery
I took a picture of Florence & Einer Anton Anderson's headstone and I also suggested a correction to the entry because the headstone reads Andersen. If you look at the Forest Hill Cemetery in Houghton Michigan under Florence Anderson, I think you will see the picture that you requested.
