|I'm creating memorials to honor those who have completed their journeys here. I believe the Find A Grave burial registry helps us to preserve history and is an extremely useful genealogical tool. I especially love to hear from folks who have found a family member or friend through a memorial that I created, that gives real meaning to this work. If you have any corrections or additions to suggest on memorials that I have created, I will take care of them, usually within a week. If you want any records transferred to you that are not in my family, please do not hesitate to ask.|
To my friends who have decorated the graves of my precious daughter, Tammy Jo Modglin, and my Mom and Dad, Dorothy Darlene Brown and Carmel Garth Brown, and my sister, Judith Ann "Judy" Brown, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your kindness is very much appreciated, as I decorate also for as many as I can, too.
God Bless All Of You...

I just found this line and really know nothing about it as yet. My Janes connections are in Wood & Pleasants counties. I will let you know if I find out anything.

Glenda, I believe that they are same person, dates and the parents match, we all know the newspapers NEVER make mistakes, but use your judgment, if you do not feel comfortable with the information then please do not add it.
Thank you, Richard.
P.S. My grandfathers name is Clarence Ellsworth Lybrook, everyone called him Mike, no one knows why. lol

Hello again--Regarding the memorial for Philip O Woodring at Hinton Cemetery, Delaware County Indiana. I received the following message from Pat (Woodring) Engle who has access to the Woodring family Bible.
I was checking out some things on the Thompson Cemetery Find-A-Grave site and Dan Boyle’s assumption on the dates for Philip O. Woodring is correct. The family bible shows August 23, 1854 as his birth date and August 17, 1856 as his death date. He is the son of William Baker Woodring and Rebecca J. Bryan Woodring.
Could you please correct the birth date date on the memorial?
Thanks very much

No i am not related to the Perkins. I was doing some info for a cousin and wondered how and when he got up there. She had thought he was in the Revolutionary War, but usually they didnt go to live in Canada after the Rev War if they had fought for American independence in the American Revolution.
Do you know anything about the people who came to Quebec after the American Revolution ?
do they have obituaries in newspapers up there ?
wondered where people would write to to get more information on the Perkins in this cemetery. Do they have a historical society or a library in the area that might have more info on them ?

From my prior research his Mother was Harriet W. Bosserman, not Bowman. Her parents were George and Minerva Walker Bosserman. I do happen to have some pictures of Harriet Bosserman, but at this stage I would have no idea how to send them.
Harriet is buried in La Porte IN along with her husband William Henry Taylor.

What is a transfer? I've never added anything to a Find-A-Grave site. I appreciate your correction.
