RE: Thomas Hillary Smith
Thomas Hillary Smith ended up in Cooke County Texas in the late 1800s near present day Gainesville the actual closest community is Collinsville. He was my 3rd great grand uncle. He did indeed have a second family in Texas and possibly another female friend that he left Arkansas with that was not his wife and that was not his second wife. There is a small family cemetery near Lake Kiowa in Cooke County where he and his second family are buried. My famiy tree is on Ancestry.com From heraldry to Hillbillies Shaw/Smith or you can contact me at my email juaniettas@yahoo.com please use genealogy or findagrave in the subject line so I don't delete it

Florence Yandell Smith
I'm not certain which is Florence's mother:
Rachel or Harriet; both are named: Mother.

Harriet b. 1828 and Florence in 1892...doesn't seem she was of the age??

Florence Smith Yandell. AR
Sorry the double post; I posted the entry you sent after I located Florence' grave.

If you know where her parents are buried, the memorial numbers would be helpful.

RE: Florence Victoria Smith Yandell
I don't know where she is buried, etc. No memorial number and there are several Florence Yandells across the U.S. So I will know which one put the edit onto the Edit tab on her memorial...last one says
Make a suggestion....that way I know which Florence Yandell is the correct one.

Or, you can request a transfer.

RE: Walker, Leatherwood line
Thank you for responding. My aunts and cousins have been researching the family for years so I do have some pictures and info but want to learn more. I think my family tree is public so if you want to go take a look it is Bachman-Burk Family. Let me know if you are unable to view it and I will be glad to send you a evite to view it.
I have a book written by one of our relatives and her name is Allison Adele Hedgecoke. This is also a very good book by the name of 'Old World Roots of the Cherokee' that you might like as it mentions the Hyde's , Walker's and Leatherwood's in it.
It was good hearing from you.

Walker, Leatherwood line
Hi Linda,
I am hoping you can help me. I have relatives that have been doing research for many years. I know that I have Leatherwoods and Walkers in my line. I wanted to try and verify that line. My records show that Elizabeth married Edward Leatherwood who was born in VA around 1754. His parents were John and Sarah Sally (Hunt) Leatherwood.
Edward and Elizabeth's marriage took place in NC. My relatives also tell me that Elizabeth's mother's name was Betsy Walker b. around 1715 and was possibly Cherokee.
I have concrete documentation up to Hyde and Hedgecoke line which then goes into the Leatherwood and Walker line.
If you can help me out I would greatly appreciate it and I look forward to hearing from you.
