I became interested in genealogy about 1976 after my grandmother gave me two large oval framed portraits of her father and grandmother. I hung them on my wall and would sit for hours wondering about them. Who exactly were they, where did they come from. This curiosity has taken me from Lawrenceville, Illinois to Paris, Tennessee. From Hayti, Missouri to Ellistown, Mississippi. From Smithland, Kentucky to Graves County, Kentucky. I have met so many distant cousins. Cousins that had pictures of my ancestors which had been passed down to them. Thank you all. The search as been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. If you find errors on findagrave that I have entered, please message me and I will gladly make the necessary correction. If any of those that I have placed on findagrave are your ancestors, send me a message and I will gladly turn them over to you so you may add your information.|
TO THOSE WHO SLEEP IN UNMARKED GRAVES: We have searched diligently for your identity but too many times in vain. You have a right to a stone with your name and dates marking the six feet of earth where you sleep. Many of you once had stones, but time has taken its toll. Your descendants live in faraway places or are no more. The land has changed ownership many times. The fences are gone and livestock wander your graves. Grasping hands always wanting a few more feet of land, and now your gravesite is lost forever to a subdivision. We know you were placed there by loving hands and broken hearts many years ago. We know that you were happy; you were sad; you laughed; you cried; and that you loved. We gaze in admiration when we find the tall cedar trees, the yellow buttercups, the blue periwinkle and the white bridal wreath blooming each spring for you, and in loyalty to the one who planted them there on your grave.

You're welcome Robbie, I'm happy to help.
|Sandra Enness||Sally Hagler Memorial|
Sallie (correct spelling of her name) Hagler is my great grandmother. She is the mother of my dad's mother. Would you consider transferring her memorial to me? I do appreciate you photographing her stone and creating her memorial so that her family who live out of the state of Tennessee (like me) can see her resting place.

Thank you Robbie.
I was working on VanDyke Grove people and getting obits because I have family there. So I was just trying to clean it up.
I appreciate all you do. It takes us all to keep this all up for Henry Co. to help all those who are unable to come here themselves. That is what this site means to me. It is Great.....

Question for you! You took pictures of the Oak Grove Cemetery for findagrave. Where is this located? Is this the cemetery behind a row of churches? I can't seem to find it on the maps. All I find is the "Trezevant Cemetery".

|Jenae Hedman||Finley Cemetery|
I believe I may have a relative buried in the Finley Cemetery, but currently is not listed with this cemetery. I noticed you posted a photo of the entrance of the cemetery, so I'm hoping you are near this cemetery and would be able to look for this headstone or record for me.
Name: Annie Johnson Hamilton
Birth Listed as: 1884
She is listed as dying in Dyer County, but cannot find an official record, but one relative has her listed as buried at Finley Cemetery. I am hoping this is the cemetery they are referring to. Her husband: Sheet Hamilton but have no further information at this time on him.
I appreciate any help you can give.
Solved before your last message came in - deleted it when I checked the cemetery list I had worked from. The list had incorrect dates - Larry (G-Man)
