Bio and Links
Bio Photo I began researching my family, especially soldiers, in 2000 and have learned more about American History than I did in school! Along the way, I have found Army officers and privates beginning with the French-Indian War; Patriots and Tories during the American Revolution; War of 1812, and many, many soldiers serving in the Civil War; Spanish-American War; World Wars I and II; a Medal of Honor recipient; and a West Point graduate who served in World War II

Annie & me (but mostly me)
another relation
I am also a descendant of Ephraim, through his son George (whom is not on f.a.g yet) (George's great granddaughter, Eliza Euxine Walters Dolbeer, is my Great Great Grandmother.

Her son, Martin Luther Dolbeer Sr. compiled the Dolbeer Family Record: Ohio Branch. The info there about the Walters Branch is that Ephraim and his father, etc. spelled their surname was Walther. sometime starting with Ephraim's son George, the 'H' was dropped.
I don't know how my Great Grand Uncle got that information. According to the "Record" many "kinsfolk" came together with information.
The spelling is just a little info for you, I just wanted to let you know why I would have that information.

Capt. Ephraim Walters
I am also related to Ephraim Walters. What Walters do you fit in with ?? I am Aaron Walters family. His father was a Aaron Walters also. These Ephraim Walters get me a little mixed up. LOL

RE: Chase Ancestors
Update: If the relationships are accurate, your Wells Chase was a 3rd cousin, 1 time removed from my James Chase, both of whom served in the American Revolution.

RE: Chase Ancestors
We are probably related by Chase. Both of us go back to Aquila Chase, born 1580, Bucks, England, who married Martha Jelliman. He went to Hampton, NH. You are related to him through his son, Aquila, born 1618, and married Ann Wheeler. I am through his son, William. There is some dispute as to whether Aquila and William were actually brothers. There is more than one book on the line. You can find "Chase and Allied Families," published 1930, on Heritage Quest, for one.

Aquila and Ann had son Moses, who married Ann Follansbee. Moses and Ann had Moses. Jr., who married Elizabeth Wells. Their first son was Wells, who married first Martha Morse. And the rest is history.

Your likely cousin,

RE: Mary Barrett Dyer

Thanks for the additional information and clarification. I also have a Hannah Bigelow in my line, but she is the daughter of David Bigelow and Editha Day. I just sent off a supplemental for James Chase, a Revolutionary War Patriot. His parents are Isaac Chase and Elizabeth Blethen.

Nice to hear from another DAR member:)

Mary Barrett Dyer
We both share Mary Barrett Dyer as an ancestor. She was also my 9th Great Grandmother. I have Barrett Phelps, one of her descendants, who was named after her, in my lineage. I am wondering if you have him also.
