Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am no longer actively adding names. I would like to transfer all the names I have listed to family members and even close friends. I am basically adding only documents and information to existing memorials.

I will keep only my close family memorials.

Please do not use my bio page for changes, additions, linking or transfers. Please click on the Edit button at the top right of the person's page,. Then click on Suggest A Correction. On that page, type in what you would like done.
------------
PLEASE.......when you find your relative's page, leave flowers and at least a short note. In that note, state your relationship to that person. This is a great way to find living members of your family. If you leave nothing, they do not know you are out there somewhere. Leaving this lets them know that you are also kin to them and they will contact you. This is a win, win situation.

The Story Tellers...We are the Chosen.

My feelings are in each family there is one who seems called to find the ancestors. To put flesh on their bones and make them live again, to tell the family story and to feel that somehow they know and approve. To me, doing genealogy is not a cold gathering of facts but, instead, breathing life into all who have gone before. We are the story tellers of the tribe. All tribes have one. We have been called, as it were, by our genes.
Those who have gone before cry out to us: Tell our story. So, we do.

In finding them, we somehow find ourselves. How many graves have I stood before now and cried? I have lost count. How many times have I told the ancestors you have a wonderful family - you would be proud of us?

How many times have I walked up to a grave and felt somehow there was love there for me? I cannot say.

It goes beyond just documenting facts. It goes to who am I and why do I do the things I do. It goes to seeing a cemetery about to be lost forever to weeds and indifference and saying I can't let this happen. The bones here are bones of my bone and flesh of my flesh. It goes to doing something about it. It goes to pride in what our ancestors were able to accomplish. How they contributed to what we are today. It goes to respecting their hardships and losses, their never giving in or giving up, their resoluteness to go on and build a life for their family.

It goes to deep pride that they fought to make and keep us a Nation. It goes to a deep and immense understanding that they were doing it for us. That we might be born who we are. That we might remember them. So we do. With love and caring and scribing each fact of their existence, because we are them and they are us.

Thank you for looking. The Gray's are a new connection into the mass research project of mine... concerning my Castleberry/Richards families. It is never ending. :)

RE: Oliver Posey
Since you said in you bio that you wished to transfer memorials, I did not realize that he was a close relative. You have a closer connection than I do.

John Thomas Jones
Hi Judy, I'm wondering if there is a way to connect my Great-Great Grandparents together. But you are the creator of John Thomas Jones (memorial # 51695734) & Margaret Pace Jones (memorial # 84263837) has another creator. The only proof I have that they are related to me is my Grandmother's death certificate. Her name is Lillie Irene (Lee) North..
John Thomas & Margaret's daughter is Fannie (Jones)Lee which is my grandmother Lillie Irene (Lee) North's mother.
Fannie (Jones) Lee married Thomas Franklin Lee.
They all are buried at Westview Cemetery Atlanta,Ga.
Sure hope you can link them together?
And also hope you can make since of all this?
Thank You
