Grew up in Southern Illinois. My families' surnames in Illinois are Reid, Sykes, Jones, Prather, Sweat. Wish I had time to be a Find a Grave contributor full-time! I am very interested in geneology and willing to help anyone interested in people in the Plumas County, California area. I currently live in the small county in Northern California. I was born and raised in Sparta, Il and served in the US Navy in the 1980's. I met my husband then and moved to California near his family.|

Please keep my family in your prayers following the loss of my uncle Franklin Rogers, who passed away yesterday from cancer. If you have time I would appreciate virtual flowers for his Find A Grave memorial 128627148. I am very blessed to have my friends on this site. Thank you,

I want to thank you for the photo of the headstone of Peter Mason. His wife, Charity Ann (Stark), is a third cousin(5x removed) and while looking for source information to support some research I'm doing found your information. My question is regarding the photo of the three headstones on his particular site. One is of Peter Mason, the second is one of whom I believe to be one of their son Levit Day, but there is no information on the third headstone and I was wondering if this could be Charity's? If not is there a site for her located in Quincy Cemetery. She died 6 Sep 1882 much earlier than Peter. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for pointing that out to me. They did not die on the same date. And yes, his picture did hang in the library. The image on his page is a photo of the picture. He was my husband's grandfather.

It is with a sad heart that I inform my Find A Grave friends of the passing of my Father, William Leondas "Bill" Myers Jr., yesterday, January 3rd, 2010. Please, keep our family in your prayers as we go through this difficult time.

Thank you, Terese was my daughter. She has been with God for almost 18 years now but there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about her and miss her. Her son Michael is 21 now and in college. We talk often about his mother. Lesley
