What a good job you have done with our Roberts and our other family records. You have really spent the time recording the history.
I have forgotten what I gave you when you were here.
Did I give you a disk with the pictures? I am scanning all the documents that I have and it has become a large job but hope I can get all the families done.

Glad to get in touch with you again. I knew you had lost your brother-in-law and we remember him well. He was a great person and we enjoyed meeting him.
I have been away from my desk computer for almost two years as I had two hip replacements and it has taken time to get over. I am still working on getting off my walker but it is so slow. I waited to long to get surgery. I have had a lot to catch up on.
I have read your replys on Find a Grave and they are so interesting. I will reply to the Silvey one and also the Gann. The Gann, Roden, Bleer are Charles line.
My e-mail is firstname.lastname@example.org.
Stay in touch.
Charles and Jean

Thanks for George's death record. I have changed the date of his birth to what was shown there & given you credit at the bottom of his memorial. He is one of my very favorite people who lived in Newtonia much of his life. When I have more time will be adding much more to his bio.
Looks like you are doing a lot of work on our family. Let me hear from you.

|Ann O'Malley||RE: Lydia Oakes Robbins Cast?r's memorial|
As they say down here, "I got no dog in this fight." I do tend to go off on tangents, trying to give the dead "their due" trying to give them some peace in their rest. Family might not mean as much today as it used to--but it's nice when we're able to join a prodigal son or daughter back to their kin. I actually found another Lydia Castor (or Caster) buried in WA (or ID) born the same year, but interred next to a Daniel. The middle initial "P"--not a clue! I was able to add a few pix at Oakes--not many, though. There is one stone that was hand-made (back in the corner along the road) out of concrete---has shiny rocks and shells stuck into it all around. On the info side, someone stuck in a thick piece of glass (now cracked) that was meant to protect the engraving. It has completely clouded over inside---there is no way to tell whose remains it marks. I took some pictures, hoping with manipulation I could get a glimpse of a letter---not a chance. Could be somebody "important" or somebody with a crafty family. Anyway, yes, please---do let me know what you find out. Some of the OAKES had the e left out of their surnames--if you peruse the Caster/Castor families memorials, looks like the way the members spelled their last name was up to them.
|Ann O'Malley||Lydia Oakes Robbins Cast?r's memorial|
I went to the Oakes Cemetery yesterday; added some pictures and read a whole lot of memorials. There are two complete memorials for Lydia, one as a Caster and one as a Castor. Both have information (separate and different) about her lineage--her daughter's maiden name was Caster but the info regarding her marriage says she married William LeRoy Castor. As a Castor, she has no known burial location; as a Caster, she's interred in Snohomish, WA. One shows her middle initial to be "P" but I can find no records that show that to be true. Oh, yes---if she was a Caster, she lived to 1941, but as a Castor, she died in 1927. I sent an edit to change the spelling of the more complete memorial to Castor, but it was denied and a bit more info was added. Do you know anything about this decedent? I can send it to Find A Grave to merge, but thought I'd give you a chance first, since you left virtual flowers on both memorials. Thanx.

Thank you Charles,
Thought there may have been a connection, being that there have been others with the name Cornelius Robbins and went by the name "Neely" or "Neil"

Thanks for your note on my Scneder pages in Mount Hope Cemetery in Topeka. Phillip Scneder, 1815-1892 was my husband's g-g-grandfather. Over the years I've collected a lot of data on this family and I'm always glad if someone can use it.
|Scarlet||RE: LEVONIA CARPENTER INMAN|
Hey Charles, Thanks for your message of a wk or so ago. I have been on vacation in the Smokie Mtn. in East Tn. for almost a wk and couldn't get to my info. to answer you. I made a connection several yrs ago to a Bertie Mae Inman who lives in Pensacola, Fla with her brother Robert W. Inman. Do you by any chance know of them? They are son and daughter to Essie Levonia. She and I have talked several times on the phone and she has helped me some on my Carpenters. Thanks again for your message and the fixes to the listing.
