Cowgirl Genealogist from Western Texas. Some of the names I am researching include:|
COWDEN, LAWSON, BIGGS, WEBB, BARBER, FLOURNOY, MARSHALL, EPPERSON, THOMAS, FONVILLE, TOWERS, POTTS, TAYLOR, FOX, HALE, PARUM, BOBO, NOLEN, WISE, GRESHAM, and many others.
I am presently trying to prove my Cherokee roots through the following lines: BARBER, FLOURNOY, NOLEN, JAMES, ALBRITTON, McDONALD. These people started out in South Carolina, came into Georgia, then into Alabama, Louisiana, thence to Texas.
I have other American Indian lineage that I am also attempting to document.

Glad to help :-)

With all that you wrote I sure wish I could help you with your McDonalds. I created the virtual cemetery for my Blackshear and the McDonalds are buried at that cemetery but I have not been able to find any connection other than apparently they were living in the same district as my Blackshears. Have you looked at the website for Sumter County, Georgia genealogy?

I live close to Chokee. In the Redbone District of Lee Co., GA. Go to the Georgia County DOT maps. They are online and have 99% of the cemeteries on them. This may be some help to you!

My mother in law was a Hale(s) from SE Alabama. Dale Co. They were also a Mims by mothers.

Some of these counties changed names. Lee Co. was divided and so was others. Need to get a book or Google to tell you which ones. There were lots of Albrittons in Terrell Co. Much of Terrell Co. is still not posted to Find A Grave, but I try to work on the older ones, but weather is hot! Sumter Co. Georgia cemeteries are online, most likely not on Find A Grave. Google them and see. What part of the counties did they live in? Most of Randolph Co. is on Find A Grave, certainly the older ones. Oakgrove in Sumter Co. is not nearly on this site.

|Robert C Johnston Jr||RE: Amanda E. Cowden, 33683185, Remlap Methodist Church Cem, Remlap, Blount Co Ala|
I updated her biography to include the full name of her parents and Robert's parents, her paternal grandparents. I do not have control of the bios of Robert and Louisa, so i couldn't update their names and bios, but I did link Amanda to her parents.
How are you related, if so? I'm related to Wilson Carol Cowden through his 2nd wife, Phenetta Ann Cornelius, and to Robert Lindsey Cowden through his wife, Saloma/Selma Ann Cornelius. Both were sisters. I'm related to all the Cornelius's in Remlap Cem.
|Peggy Jean Thomas Villanueva||RE: Mary Irene Lamm Adams|
Did you know the mother of WW Adams, Jerusha Howser, was the daughter of Mary Ann Lamm, the sister of James Lenox Lamm?
|Clifton Baccus||David Earnest & Flossie Clay|
I transferred Flossie over to you. You will see her: Plot is 51B, Row H, Lot 7
You can add David Earnest Clay: Plot to 51B, Row H, Lot 8
