I've been collecting family history for as long as I can remember. My great grandmother Emma Jane Yarian FLOHR lived for 96 years... and loved to tell old stories. She got me interested in genealogy back in late 60's, before I'd turned 10. Most branches go back several hundred years... some fascinating history.
Most of my collection has been uploaded for others to enjoy! Check them out...

Anna was an older sister to my grandmother Ada Fox Kidd. I remember my mother telling how she used to go visit her Aunt Anna back in the 1930's when Anna lived in Royalton in Magoffin County Ky. Anna and Ada were both born in Menifee County Ky in the community of Denniston. They had one brother Alexander and other sisters named Minnie, Gertrude, Missouri, Lizzie, Mary and Bertie. Their parents were John Henry Fox and Sarah Margaret Poplin Fox.

I have received Anna's picture and I want to thank you ever so much. This is really great!

Hi Mike. Just wondering if you have any pictures of Anna Fox McClanhan? She was my mother's aunt............Dorothy, Ky

I was happy to try to find the grave. Many older stones were made of native slate, which deteriorated over time erasing the inscriptions. Also, there are many old and probably unknown graves at sites of old homesteads. Maybe someone else with more knowledge of the area may be able to locate the grave.
Best wishes, Dottie

Mike, Thank you for posting the directions to Pleasant Grove/Union Cemetery near Liberty Mills, IN. Do you know if there is a map of the cemetery available? I am hunting for the location in the cemetery of the tombstones for Daniel Mentzer (32592041) and family. I plan to visit the cemetery in August. Thanks. Jane from MI firstname.lastname@example.org

Hi, you are most definitely a relative to my husband and children. Richard is my husband's grandfather. This is through his marriage to Zelphia Clem (last name of second husband). They had two children, Eula "June" (husband's mother) and Joe Farley.

I found, and added another Featherstone marker while I was over trying for photo request.
Lawson Henry Featherstone
I was not sure if he might be related to you, or not.

I have to go to Shelby, NC to visit some of my relative's graves soon, and I will try to locate Hamrick Family Cemetery. From what I have been able to find out, it has only stones as markers, and is close to Cleveland Memorial Park Cemetery.
If I do locate it, I will get photos of whatever is there.
