Messages are enabled on my profile but please use the Edit tab in the upper right corner of the memorials for all edits and transfer requests!. I will not be responsible for any edits or transfer requests left as messages, I may see them and get to them but I may not.|
If you are asking for a transfer either make sure you are logged into Find A Grave when you send the transfer request OR manually insert your member number into the email if you are not sure! Missing member numbers mean I have to send you an email and ask and it's a lot more likely your transfer request will just fall between the cracks.
Also, please do not contact me for edits or transfer requests on memorials I created but no longer control. As of November 2013 I have given away 97% of the memorials I created to other volunteers or to family members on the site. If you submit an edit or transfer request on my profile page if I notice I will forward the request to the current owner of the memorial, but it will not happen as quickly and it may not happen at all, so you will be much better off contacting the current owner of the memorial directly.
For details on the monstrous project to document the Forest Lawn (California) cemeteries that was begun in late 2011 and is still being worked on, you can read The Forest Lawn Project.
I am not responsible for duplication of burial unknown memorials that were not placed in a cemetery, the site rules clearly state that unknown burials where the cemetery has not been located after 30 days are not subject to the normal seniority rules on resolving duplicates. A contributor who has posted a memorial with a known burial location may as a courtesy remove their memorial if an older unknown burial memorial is edited and moved into the correct cemetery but the contributor who found the burial location first is under no obligation to do so. I personally almost always defer to family in this case but I feel no responsibility to delete a memorial I created because an anonymous obituary collector is out there creating memorials on non-family members on the site and feels some compulsion to hoard them. (And I am not talking about people like Ryan Curtis here, he is a great asset to the site and is fanatical about keeping up with his SACs, which is something I aspire to myself but fall woefully short sometimes ...)
Please do not request the admins to merge cenotaph memorials into memorials that mark the burial space, even if they are in the same cemetery. Cenotaph memorials are allowed on the site (check the FAQs if you have any doubts) and some famous people have multiple memorials because they have multiple cenotaphs and many not-at-all-famous people have multiple memorials, if someone was willing to pay to put up a second marker for them then the site allows a second memorial to be created. There are many "accidental" cenotaphs out there because someone's name was put on their spouse's marker but they are buried elsewhere, these are still considered cenotaphs and are still allowed to have a Find A Grave memorial associated with that marker.
A disclaimer here: I do not intentionally create duplicate memorials on the site. Because I am using batch processing techniques I never even look at most of the memorials I am creating. If I duplicated one of your memorials either politely notify the current owner of the memorial or notify them with no tones of moral outrage (if you can!) and they will arrange to have the memorials merged or transfer the one I created back to me for deletion. I make every reasonable attempt to avoid duplications but if there is any difference between the two memorials (different names, different years, missing years) the duplicate checking will not catch it. Whenever possible I check the information I am submitting against state death indexes or the social security death index but that is no guarantee of accuracy, only that I have a source for the information I submitted.
Please do not take photos posted by contributors on the site and republish them without either their written consent or a disclaimer on their bio page stating that the contributor is fine with that, please contact them about reposting or republishing their photos. Some contributors don't care but others are quite adamant that photos not be used without their permission.

|Billie Baker||Rosa Faust/Ellen Fallon|
I worked as a museum tech in Columbia SHP where Rosa, Ellen and her ex husband James Fallon were born and raised.
Rosa divorced Fallon on grounds of being deserted, and dropped his last name. Ellen is in the 1900 census and shortly after Rosa marries Faust in Washington State. By 1910 census Ellen has disappeared. She may be buried in Washington state. I'm looking now for more info.

Thanks Chris for adding to the memorials the mother's maiden name, this can help others who might be looking for family that know the mother's maiden name. In some cases the names of the person in the memorial might be just first and last and there might be many with that name, a mother's maiden name sometimes helps.
Thank you for the transfer. Kris.

|Robert||Phoebe and Albert Mills|
Phoebe Barrett Mills was my dad's aunt and would appreciate any additional family connection that you might have to these people. Also, any information on Wilma Phoebe Mills, Albert's sister.
If you ever decide to transfer these Find a Graves, I or other Kansas relatives would be happy to receive ownership.
