Bio and Links
Bio Photo Retired mechanical engineer with an interest in genealogy since 1976, and a home computer since 1986.

My sister first got me interested in our family history when she copied some old photos and sent them out to the family as part of her "1776 Bicentennial celebration". After years of research, we haven't found any ancestors who were rich or famous, but the real story we uncovered is better than anything we could have made up.

Interested in:
Beaver, Bower, Curran, Darlington, Dugger, Loy, Lupfer, McClure, Monasmith, Pflanz, Pollard and Schlott.

I have been working on the families of Perry County, Pennsylvania for several years now. As a result, I have registered several hundred graves there who are not related to my families, and I would be happy to transfer to a relative.

I'm also working on memorials for the alumni of Frankfurt American High School, and for the Class of 1961 of Wichita High School North. Old friends are not forgotten.

RE: Monasmith graves in Pawnee City
I'm new at the adding names, but thought it'd give you an idea of where the stones should be & have something there. I'm sure the plot # is wrong for Samuel C., it has 21 instead of 12. I went on down to see if for some reason he might be in 21, but found no Monasmith stone. I think it was just flipped when recording it in the directory. Luella

Elizabeth Smith in Blain Union

I just put in an auto edit for the maiden name of Elizabeth Smith # 78325915 I had this name from other sources and it was confirmed with her daughter Susannah E. nee Smith Shatto's death certificate and for whom I just made a memorial in the same cemetery, linking her to her parents.

Best, Barry

RE: Theo and Clemma Darlington

Glad I ran into both Clemma's and Theo's memorials. I just "clicked" from there. I put in auto edits for Clemma's memorial and she should be showing up as a Shatto fairly soon. I see you nicely integrated the info into Theo's memorial.

Best, Barry

RE: Elias Hollenbaugh Obit

Thanks for the pleasure. The more we can get memorials developed the better. Elias's family has been difficult to trace out. I know who his mother was but not his father. His mother remarried to a Samuel Shatto that accounts for the three half siblings in the obit (another Gordian knot just recently disentangled). There are some rather interesting estate settlement documents for his mother whereby the half-siblings waive their right of inheritance in favor of Elias.

Wish I knew where his mother and her two husbands are buried.

Best, Bary

Smiths in Kechi Cemetery
I finally have this Smith/ Monosmith family linked together in the Kechi Cem.,Kansas. I had write to Find A Grave twice to have it completed. Vivian Smith would never respond. I don't think she is related. Thought you would like to know. Thanks for all your help in working on the Monosmiths. If there is ever anything new about Marion Smith (Monosmith's) grandfather, please let me know.
Thanks again!
