I love tracing my family history. It is something I just never get tired of. When I was very little, my father put great emphasis on maintaining family ties across a broad range of generations. I listened, but only half-heartedly, and I certainly regret that.
Here are the surnames I am most interested in:
MIDDLETON, DEEN, MOODY, SHERROD, DAVIS, MOON, RYALS, ROBSON
Mostly in SE Georgia, but also in North Florida and South Carolina as well (particularly for MIDDLETON)
