I am a native of Michigan, specifically, Lansing and Alma areas, but we have lived in western New York for the past 20 years. Still hoping to return to MI soon.

Thank you to those who have sponsored relatives of mine whose memorials were created by other family members. Your generosity is appreciated also.

May we always be grateful to those who have served in the armed forces of our country.

Thank you to all who do serve or have served our great country! I know a lot of contributors fall into this category. Thank you to all who have given their lives for our country. With deep gratitude...Rosie

There are several reasons why burial information is not available at the time of creating a memorial. I have added a lot of relatives several generations back in the hopes that someone who has that information will provide it. This site is called "Find" A Grave, after all!

RE: Hi Rosie,
Yup, the weather has been totally crazy! Hopefully we're done with the snow. We had so much rain on Sat, the river flooded and many roads are closed.

Have a very happy Easter! Rosie :-)

Hi, I just read you got snow yesterday. I live nine miles south of the OH/MI border and we got it too. Mostly icy snow.

RE: Glenda,
Hi Rosie, thank you for your message about Kylie...she is doing so great. Amazing what prayers can do. What a difference from the happenings last week. Does this great-grandmother's heart good to see her happy smile!!

Appreciate your concern my friend,

RE: Hi again, Christine,

Hope you are well. My great father was Joseph Weese, he is also a son of Freeman and Rachel Weese. So yes, we are distant cousins.

Thanks, cuz!

RE: Hi Glenda,
Thank you Rosie, it has been a hard week, but today she is much better and off of the ventilator so we are so happy about that. I appreciate the well wishes very much!

Yes, it's always hard. Just knowing she's met by so many other furbabies at the Bridge, is comforting.
Thank you so much for your words and visiting her.

RE: Alzima Elizabeth Bush Weese
Yes there is a problem. I think the problem is in East Leland cemetery listing for D W Weese. David W Weese is buried in Oakwood, not East Leland. We have been unable to determine who is the "Weese" buried in East Leland, But it is not David W. Weese. I talked to the East Leland sexton a few weeks ago. We plan on visiting him this summer. He thinks that the original wood crosses were eventually replaced by the stones that are there now.

Its like doing a puzzle. A little information here, a little there.

Thanks again for helping out!

RE: Alzima Elizabeth Bush Weese

Thanks so much for the quick reply. The Weese side of my family goes back through Walter Weese (my grandfather). He is buried in Kingsley. He married his 4th wife under the assumed name Walter Freeman Weese. His real name was Walter Cleveland Weese. He also used an assumed name to marry his 3rd wife, Walter Smith. The family assumes he did this because he never divorced wives 2 and 3.

Walter's father was Joseph Weese, who was married to Alzina. We have been unable to find Joseph's grave. Alizina is buried in Oakwood but there is no headstone. We contacted the sexton and found her grave.

In East Leland cemetery Joseph's parents, Freeman Weese and Rachael Ann Weese are buried.

Find a grave lists David W Weese as being buried in East Leland but he is actually buried in Oakwood in Traverse city. I have a photo of his headstone. I have contacted find a grave about that error but it has not been corrected. Oh well.

Thank you again for your quick reply!

Alzima Elizabeth Bush Weese

I noticed you left a note on Alzina Elizabeth Bush Weese's memorial page. Alzina is my great grandmother. Are you related to her? Are we related?

C. Weese

Her first name was spelled AlziNa.
