My interest in Findagrave is mostly genealogical. The family links on findagrave are my favorite part because you can just click through several generations visually. Please suggest family links edits whenever you know them. It helps everyone!

I research every edit I receive with ancestry, familysearch, newspapers etc. I decline edits if I don't find a source especially for middle names etc. Please don't take declined edits personally. I always put a reason so look at it and resubmit if you find a source.
If you are not willing to accept links without absolute proof or willing to do any research for the links suggested then probably you should not be a findagrave manager. Free searches for all findagrave memorials on familysearch here and most times a profile with family and sources will already be attached to that findagrave memorial: https://www.familysearch.org/search/collection/2221801

This website is not for grammar fans it's just to document graves. I actually had an edit just for a period and gender. Edits to add a period to initials will be declined so don't waste your time. I'd rather add a sourced middle name than have an initial anyway.

I have realized obituaries are really valuable resources and have actively started adding them or links to the obituaries when I can. It seems to be the trend now to post these on free sites that only keep them online for a year or two and then the obituaries are just gone. I know familysearch.org and other paid sites have started adding some to their websites but this current trend to not post obituaries in a newspaper that future family members could search is not good for genealogists. A free alternative is to create a wikitree.com or familysearch.org profile that will serve as a memorial for your loved one adding their obituary. I will post living info at times and if this offends anyone please contact me.
Also I believe our female ancestors deserve to be recognized with their birthright name. Trying to do my part by requesting edits for maiden names so they do not become lost to history.

Helpful Hints: Firefox browser: Anyone can click on those circle arrows under the photo to correct the orientation of photos. Also memorial managers can move the tombstone (or person) photo to the top (even if you didn't add the photo) by clicking photos, then arrange.

NOTE: All Edits/Transfers must be requested on the memorial itself not on my profile in order to avoid mistakes and save time. I will not transfer out of Findagrave guidelines as most memorials are related to me.
