Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1947 to Mary Alice Lafield and George Mathew Ellis, Jr. Attended LSU until drafted in 1967. Joined US Navy in 1968 and spent 8 years in service exiting in San Diego, CA in 1976. Settled there with wife Socorro. Returned to Baton Rouge in 2008 until 2012 at which time I returned to San Diego.
