Dog Tag
Hello. My grandfather fought in Europe during WWII. When he passed away a few years ago, I was going through his war box. I found an aged dog tag with the name Charles L Lowry on it. After extensive research, I think this is the same man whose gravestone I found on this site. Do you have any resources to verify this and maybe a way to find out if he has any relatives that I could return the dog tag to? It belongs in his family, so I would really like to get it someone who would appreciate this piece of history. Thank you for your time.

Flag Message
Thank you for leaving a U.S. Flag at my father Pelton Freeman "Slim" Grantham, Memorial # 64644766 page in honor of his military service (Veteran) of WWII. Do you have family members who may have served with my father in the war?

Joseph A. Taitano
Hi LeeAnne,
Joseph A. Taitano was one of my father's nephews. I am doing my family genealogy. I found his information here on this site, which has been helpful to find many ancestors. I was just wondering, how do you know Joseph A. Taitano? I always try and get more information to add for a family description. I didn't know if you just left flowers, or if you knew him some how.
Thanks, Ginger

Related to Robert Herbert?
Hi LeeAnne, I have a listing for Robert Herbert and wondered if you were related? You had left a token on his memorial and I just wanted to check with you. Thank you! Steward

RE: War Memorials
Dear LeeAnne, Thank You for such a sweet message...well, you and I seem to share the same hope to honor every military man and woman as they should be honored. =) My work has slowed down recently due to health matter as, but I am slowly getting back on here. My family history was a complete surprise...I was tracing for medical reasons, and within six months, I found family on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, family on HMS Hood, heroes who knew that they were going out on sorties (RAF) and probably not coming back...I literally wept when I realized thAt these men and women had been forgotten. Because I write for a living, some of my research crossed on Google and from there, others started asking me to post their own relative's pages, and it has rolled from there. Other than being a mom, I truly believe that my work on this site is one of my proudest accomplishments. =) I hope that we stay in touch and if we can, help one another with our searches and tributes...I will send folks your way asap for tokens and visits. Take Care...Hugs, RCP and Gannon Blue
