Bio Photo Researching paternal and maternal family history. There is a family rumor that we descended from a French countess. Hoping to solve the mystery. I did confirm at least 3 connections to the Mayflower directly, and to Myles Standish indirectly.

RE: George Haytree, Adams
Hi Ashley,
I just returned to your message and realized that I never responded to you. My apologies!

George Haytree was my great-great grandfather. His wife was Mary Davis. Both were born in England. He was born in 1817; they married in 1841. He died on September 27, 1882 in Adams, MA. Mary was born in December 1823; she died in Adams on August 4, 1901. They are buried in the Maple St. Cemetery there. They had lived in Rennselaer & Columbia counties in New York also.

They had the following children according to the Nassau, NY 1855 census:
William, age 13; Ann M. (my great-grandmother), age 11: Sarah E., age 9; George W., age 7; Joseph J., age 4; Morgan W., age 2.
In the 1870 Stuyvesant, NY census, it lists the remaining children: Jane, age 14; Charles, age 11 & John, age 8. I know many of the family members worked in cotton mills throughout the various communities they lived in.

My great-grandmother Ann, died in 30 Jan. 1885. Her husband, John Campbell, died on 25 April 1887. Their daughters, my grandmother, Mary Jane & her sister, Jessie then lived with my great-grandparents. My grandmother married Elmer Snow in 1904. They had my father, Ellsworth, his brother, Elmer & his sister, Edna.

I hope this helps you out.
