RE: Nelson Wilkins transfer
YES! Mt tree site is JMcWhirt/Davis. Visit sometime, start with James Edwin McWhirt, Sr. I have a notebook focusing on mcwhirts; if I can go back and find my attachments, will send; takes quite a few pages.

RE: Nelson Wilkins transfer
Will I be able to view your records & stories? Some members mark them private, making it impossible for others to observe. A few of them have been in my branch, but but when I ask them to share with me, even when I explain about being related; they ignore me. Nelson is related only by being 1st cousin, 3 timess removed. I have no problem transferring, I just would like for you to sharer, as I find these stories VERY interesting. June

Hortense Estelle "Stella" Cousin deGhetaldi
Ruth,

Thank you for adding my grandparents' headstone and information. Stella somehow got combined with my grandfather's other wife, Hortense. So could you please make some corrections? I would do it, but it seems like the website won't let me do it directly.

"Stella" de Ghetaldi's maiden name was Estella Borley. She was born on 9/11/1895 in Little Falls, Minnesota, and died on 12/25/1972 in Upper Lake. Her parents were George Borley and Elisabeth Konen. She was my grandfather's second wife.

His first wife was Hortense "Tense" Elizabeth Cousin. She was born on 1/19/1890 in San Francisco and died on 6/14/1982 in San Francisco. Her father was Marius Cousin (born 2/19/1862 near Nice, France, and died 4/8/1936 in Daly City, CA). She was the mother of my father, Guido Jr. and Ernestine Green. She is buried in Hartley Cemetery in Lakeport with her second husband, Ralph Packer.

I see that Marius' site incorrectly links him to Stella and I will contact the creator of that site and ask to have him linked to Tense.

Please feel free to contact me directly at dario@deghetaldi.net.

Thanks again and all the best!

RE: Arba Samuel Blair son of Samuel
Thanks for your reply. Arba Blair's description by the medical society is at least a clue to his appearance. I hope to someday find an image.
Thanks again, Fredericka Stanulevich

Arba Samuel Blair son of Samuel
Hello from Rome NY. We are deep in the freezer here and hoping Spring will hurry . I am a member of the Oneida County Freedom Trail Commission out of Rome NY and my co member and I have been researching Arba Samuel Blair b 1781 Mass and died Rome NY 1863.He was a much respected physician here and involved with the Underground Railroad activity in Oneida County NY.He harbored fleeing slaves on their way to Canada and was involved in the formation of the New York Antislavery Assoc in 1835. I found a picture of his wife Wealthy Moore that was for sale on ebay and was in a double frame. The matching picture was gone from the other side and was, undoubtedly , of Arba, her husband. In our Commission work we are preparing an application to the National Park Service to have his home site declared as historically recognized. The house is gone and the lot is part of the Rome NY Zion Episcopal Church memorial lot(green grassy lot where members can buried cremated remains). We have a lot of info on Arba but would love to have his painting or photo. The original of Wealthy's photo is at the Rome NY Historical Society. I have a copy of it also. I would love to hear from you as you are a descendent of Samuel, Arba's father. Also, Abner Blair, Arba's brother lived in Rome and they had a Pharmacy business here.

Thanks for the photo of Samuel's grave!
