Hello there. It seems we have a common Ancestor in the line of Princess Godifu or more commonly known as Godiva. Well I always like meeting new family so just wanted to say Hi.
|Derek Ennis Veal||Peter Ledford R.S.|
Noticed you also descend from Peter Ledford R.S. He was my 5x great grandfather. Do you have much info on the family?
|Barb McQueen||RE: transfer|
I know of one gal who is really picky. She sends so many requests to add additional info or that I had made a small error of somekind. I know she can't be related to all the people she sends info on. She had a friend of mine as having a different grandmother than she really did. I sent her info from my friend and she got straightened out. Bottom line, some people are just grumpy and some are not. We who dearly love geneology want to help everyone. I have belonged to ancestry.com for years. There are sometimes mistakes and when it is on one of my closer relatives, I just send them the correct info with no grumping. Everyone is just doing best they can. I make my tree public. It burns my bunns when I see someone with a private family tree and photos of some of my ancesters. It should all be out there for sharing and if there is a mistake, we will figure that out. Bless you in your future Find A Grave work and on any geneo search you are doing. Barb
I don't mind at all transferring your kinfolk to you. I just take photos because I love geneology and helping others in their research. They sure did know how to do markers in the old days. There was so much info on them as connections to other kin. Today we just put names and death dates a lot. Like doing those that have more info. Great you can add so much to the memorial since it is rour relative and not mine. Love the photos you have added. Really famtastic job you have done. He must have ment a lot to you. I only had one grandmother. All others were dead before I was born. Guess that is why old p[eople are so special to me. Barb
|Lynne Sherer Sitkiewicz||Claude Bartlett wife|
She did die in California. On familysearch.org The Montana Death Index 1860-2007 for Claude shows he was divorced at time of his death. My tree also has his obituary on it and she's not mentioned.

I found a marriage license for Claude Bartlett in Montana. Look at my tree (Sherer, McGee, Bartlett...) and you can copy it. The death index shows he was divorced at time of death. There is also a newspaper article of his obituary (on the side under source information) with the Billings MT Gazette. I thought you might want the info.
