Also, my own family the Brendel's, Sanford's, Houghton's, Munson's, Hudson's and Seeterlin's, Sole's and Desnoyer's, from Oakland County, Washtenaw Co. and the Thumb area of Michigan.
I am always willing to share photos, so feel free to copy any I have added. I try to give credit when possible. If by chance I have omitted credit please advise and I will correct.
PLEASE VISIT MY VIRTUAL CEMETERY FOR INFORMATION ON THE KIA'S FROM THE 1-8 Jumping Mustangs who died in Vietnam. I am happy to add photos or memories, just make a request.
My husband Mike "Doc" Rice is a Vietnam veteran, serving during 8-1967 thru 8-1968 with the 1st Cav, 1-8 Division, Jumping Mustangs Co D and HQ Company. We are trying to locate anyone who he served with.

Please let me know if I can help in any way. I would like to know more about Harmon's story.
I only live a few miles away from the cemetery. I have gotten gravestones for Civil war veterans and my father, a WW2 veteran.

Glad you like the new photo. I like the closeups only if there are others to counterbalance them, as the distance photos do. By the way, where'd you find the photo of Robert? It's great to see a face attached to his name.
It would also be interesting to know why he joined the military at 26, a few months past his 26th birthday? At 26 you wouldn't be drafted and only have to serve if it were a true national emergency.

I've exchanged one photo for another newer one I took Memorial Day two years ago. It's a much better photo I think. My regards, Elin
Great job! Cemetery added...thanks!
Thanks for all your research on this. When you have the correct Cemetery, I will be happy to add it.

That's great! I'm glad they found it. Did you know our local VFW is named after him? I ordered a rubbing of his name from the Vietnam Memorial. I can post when I get it.

I was trying to get all of the inscriptions to be readable. Died in Viet Nam. It was interesting to me that they used two words. You are very welcome. There are 90,000 graves in this cemetery, I picked the ones with location information and you were one of two that had it correct. haha. The office is staffed M-F while I'm at work, so I will have to figure out how to access the records in bits and pieces, the cemetery itself is open evenings and weekends for locating the graves. This will be a fun summer project for me. I have used findagrave.com for years and I am glad to be able to contribute in some way.

As a fellow veteran, I would be happy to. Once the cemetery offices open again next week I will get with them to find the grave and be sure to post a picture.
