RE: FROGS
Hi Cindy, we do seem to have quite a few frogs (toads) around here. Moochie never bothered them, they have a bad taste!

I'm not crazy about yard work either. Too many mosquitoes! Hugs, Rosie

Janine Hecht
You are my cousin!
Hi Cindy, I am Daniel's youngest daughter Janine. You have no idea how long I have been searching to locate other "Hecht" family members. It would be great to connect with you to share some family history as well as pictures. I have some pics that I think you would love to see. :) Please contact me ASAP. I look forward to hearing back from you. Take care. Love, Janine

RE: Heinrich Henry Burmeister
Yes, my great-grandfather Henry Burmeister was a farmer and came from Germany in May 1881. He had served in the German army, so he did not come to escape the required military service. Likely, he came to find good farmland.
Yes, we call his son Hank. He and Anna are buried in Red Oak, Montgomery County, Iowa at the Evergreen Cemetery. We would have stopped there today if it had not been raining. I do have a photo that I will post after you change them to the correct cemetery (not Graceland in Avoca). You could transfer them to me, but they are great-aunt and uncle to both of us.
Leopold is the correct spelling for Abel's maiden name. Do you have Anna's obit? Email me at karkarstens@hotmail.com. Bertram Burmeister just passed away in Florida. Karen

Thank you for sponsoring Edward Smith. He was a very brave man and deserves much admiration. I will be writing him a bio, and when I post, I'll let you know.

Thanks again,
