Bio and Links
I am originally from Hiram, Ohio. Most of my ancesters and many of my relatives are in NE Ohio.

My sister Margaret is assisting me with pictures.

My main searches are for the ancestors & descendants of my four grandparents: Green, Marquette, Leavenworth and Lawrence/Hogbin. With few exceptions, all from my grandparents generation and from my great-grandparents are now linked on find-a-grave.

Many thanks for the help from contributors & photo takers. That collaborative effort is what makes Find-a-Grave the valuable site it is.

RE: Infirmary Cemetery - Akron
I checked Glendale and she is not there. The ABJ obit index does not cover 1875, and I cannot recall if that means that 1875 papers are not extant, or they just never indexed them. An obit MIGHT tell where she is buried. Did she have surviving relatives living in Akron or nearby? If she had none, or they were very poor, then she was probably buried at the infirmary. Of course, whether she remained there is another story - the infirmary directors were infamous for removing bodies under cover of night and selling them to the medical colleges.

RE: Infirmary Cemetery - Akron
It's pretty much catch as catch can - those records are spotty. There was a fellow at the historical society who was trying to recreate the burials at the county infirmary in West Akron, using various sources. Not everyone who died a the infirmary got buried there either. What is your aunt's name?

RE: Helen Florence Vaughn Renkenberger
I hope you are pleased with the images. I am happy to have spent this beautiful day in a quiet, secluded cemetery helping a stranger.
