My wife and I have had the genealogy "bug" for more than 40 years. Since retirement, about 20 years ago, it has been almost a full time job (or obsession.) Since we have gathered more than 32,500 names in our data base, new finds are getting harder and harder to find.
Our latest endeavor, for about 15 years, has been adding photographs to our data base and to Find A Grave. During this time we have traveled literally tens of thousands of miles, covering states from Maine to Kansas, looking for those elusive pieces of granite, sandstone, marble and even homemade cement markers.
On this note I would be glad to make corrections, additions, relationship links, etc. upon request. I will also be glad to transfer management of a memorial according to the following guidelines by Find A Grave.
"Transfer requests should be for DIRECT RELATIVES WITHIN FOUR GENERATIONS, THIS WOULD BE YOUR SIBLINGS, PARENTS, GRANDPARENTS, AND GREAT-GRANDPARENTS. Keep in mind that the original contributor may also be related the the memorial and may not want to make the transfer. You may certainly request the transfer of memorials beyond the four generations, but the original contributor may choose not to transfer (the original contributor should not make any corrections and add any additional information you may have for that memorial, such as links to parents and spouses).
Also, please provide memorial numbers for those transfers you are requesting and your relationship with them.
I hope this doesn't seem to harsh but I have recently gotten requests for transfer of all with the name "Sch???" in the state of Kansas because they are all related! | |

 | Joseph Jackson Hello,
I'm writing in reference to Joseph Jackson #17486490 and was wondering if you are in any way related to this family... my husband is and has been looking to find where Joseph's parents are buried (George and Elizabeth Jackson), would you have any idea?
Thanks so much for your reply.

 | Mary Buker I see you did change the birth year for Mary & put a memorial for her on Otsego Methodist Cem.. I just put the picture of her stone on that memorial.
Now, are you going to delete the other memorial for her ?? The one on Otsego Baptist needs so be taken off.
Thanks, Jan | | | Susie Holderfield

 | John Matson photo, Shelby-Oakland Cem. Kenneth, thank you for posting the photo of the grave of John Matson, Find A Grave Memorial# 40340200. John was in Company I, 120th OVI. I have been researching the 120th Ohio Volunteer Infantry for the last 11 yrs in order to identify the men. I would like permission to use your photos on my site and on any CD or print copy of my research that I will give to the Wayne County library in Wooster OH. I always give credit for the photos. Thanks for any help. Susie Holderfield | | | | [View all messages...] |
