Bio Photo I am a Civil War collector, writer, author and historian. If interested you can look up some of my contributions in the Marquis Who's Who In America.
According to the Department of the Interior, I am the only known person in United States history, to have privately funded and placed a monument and marker to one Civil War regiment on two major Civil War battlefields.
As a 100% disabled veteran, I enjoy researching 19th century people. Currently I am working on two books.

RE: William and Emma Harris photo
I do not have a record of an email from you. Please email to dondew228. At yahoo. I have created a memorial for his wife so if you would like to post your photo on her memorial, we would appreciate it. I live near West Point so I will go visit the grave sometime soon. Thanks for your help.

William and Emma Harris photo
Hello

I noticed you placed several wonderful photos on the memorial for WIlliam Harris at West Point.

In the grave photo I noticed that his wife is listed.

Do you think that she is buried with him?

I do not know the rules about the cemetery.

Also, do you have the original?
Perhaps you can read his wife's inscription?

She was Emma Witt, daughter of Stillman Witt

thanks for your efforts.

My great great grandfather
Hi Seward,
My great, great grandfather died at Gettysburg on July 1, 1863. He was in company B of the 20th NY Militia.
I was hoping you could give me information about where Company B was that day, where he is buried, who his commanders were, or any other information you might have about him or his unit.
Your efforts are greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Larry Colkin

Your Col John McEntee (11462233)
Mr. Osborne,
I am working on my great-grandaunt, Ann Dibblee, born about 1837, NY. There is a chance that she is married to your Col John McEntee (Find A Grave Memorial# 11462233)
http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=11462233
I note that you created his FindAGrave webpage and have several items on him. If you do not mind, would you be able to give me an assist on this?
Thank you so much,
Arnold Sprague

RE: Rev. Jonas Clarke
The only image ever recorded of Rev. Jonas Clarke is the black silhouette image of him which now resides on the second floor of the Hancock-Clarke House in Lexington, Massachusetts.

RE: General Henry Storms
Dear Seward, thank you for helping me learn about my 3rd great grandfather and all his accomplishments in NY history! I am now a member of the DAR and joined by proving that General Henry's grandfather, Gorus Storms was a Revolutionary War soldier.

Thank you for all your NY historical knowledge!

Sincerely, Nanette
