Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am an archaeologist based out of the Silver State. I am from a very large family and have an interest in our genealogy. Probably for these reasons I seem to spend a lot of time around cemeteries. Who doesn't want to go see a cemetery whilst on vacation!

The primary lines I am researching are Andrus, Burton, Gilbert, Gillette, Hanks, Hardy, Ortado, Russo, Smith and Young.

I endeavor to post correct information. If you identify any errors or have information to add to a memorial please let me know. Additionally, I will happily transfer a memorial to a family member upon request.

J.E. Mitchell
Thank you -thank you-thank you, Sabra. Because of your time to photograph for "Find a Grave", I was able to find more information about J(Jacob)E(Ernest)Mitchell's death. Mother had told me the story of how he died, but never could find any more. Mother died before I found this info from you, but it has been comforting to add this photo and information to his family story. Thank you so very much again for doing this for such as myself.

I noticed Gillette is one of your surnames you are interested in. My husband's family hails from PA and NY, (mostly Chenango County, NY and Susquehanna County, PA) pretty common name so most likely not connected to yours but always like to ask.

RE: new photo of Retta Hanks Gilbert
I found the photo in Grandma's (Nellie Hanks Rymer) genealogy books. There was no description attached to it. I am finding some great treasures and will keep working through Grandma Nellie's records and share I can. I really loved Retta. She was a joy to be around. I had added other materials to the Hanksplace website.

RE: photos for Murphy Ancestors
Thanks again Sabra! Wonderful pictures! If you want you can just email me the pictures. my email is Wow, that's the first time I have ever seen Murphy's grave. The photo I have posted is the first one my family has seen; I was able to contact one of his sons from his second marriage for that wonderful picture. Thank you so much for all your service. I'm not sure who all the Williams there are - I do know Louis is Murphy's brother. There are a lot of Williams there and descendants living today. Murphy was married to my grt. grandmother, then remarried and had a large second family. My grandmother was not raised by her father. thank you again.
