Family History and Local History have always intrigued me. I live in the California Gold Country and I enjoy learning about the people who once lived, and worked here. My real passion is exploring haunted houses, hotels and locations...You never know, one day I might even see a ghost!
I am also manage the IOOF Cemetery in Sonora. Check out our website! If you are interested in our "Adopt A Grave" program please contact me.
RE: Frank E. Gould Hi Thank you for your email. I just take the photos I don't research the info. I would love to add your info that you have. I do know for a fact that not all info on Ancestry is correct.
RE: Ballard Cemetery Second thought, odd you did not find it, but I don't think you can see it from the road only because it blends in. Go by the coordinates that I THINK were taken at the point of entry on the road, that should help. You have to climb over a barbed wire fence and go up the hill. Let me know and I will stop by and double check next time we are up.
Hi hi! How are you? We bought a place in Crystal Falls, I think of you every time we exit 108. Hope you are doing well.
I created the cemetery on Findagrave after photographing the small cemetery, and researched the Ballard family. The coordinates and description is as accurate as I know how to be. Quite a sweet cemetery, the history of the people and their families was incredible. Let me know if I can help with anything else.
RE: Kezia Curtis - Memorial# 61218714 Hello - Thank you for your inquiry. I've made a notation on the memorial relating your concern. With luck someone will happen by with more clues. I'm working a different family tree right now, but will keep Kezia in mind. Visiting the memorial also served to remind me that I need to visit the cemetery on my next trip to Modesto.
There are so many cemeteries to see, and I just discovered a new one - Dudley Cemetery on Greeley Hill in Mariposa County. Find A Grave doesn't have GPS coordinates for that one yet so I'm in trouble. Still haven't found Granite Hill cemetery and that was using GPS coordinates!
