Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've been a bit obsessed with family history since I was 16, when I inherited my great-grandfather's unfinished projects from the 1890s thru the 1930s. I am 31 now, and with a young family to raise, time escapes me in regards to furthering research -- but I am getting back into it!
Maiden name is Crawford, the Crawfords of Rhode Island. On my father's side, I have from RI Read, Williams, Smith, Ide, Olney, Fitz, Tompkins, and a spate of others, concentrated in Pawtucket / Rehoboth area. Always looking for links there.
Also, Oulton, from New Brunswick and Nova Scotia (my grandmother's family).
My mother's side is Collins (TX,MS,OK), Howard (OK, VA), Burnett (KS), Marek (IA, OK, CZ). I have done much research on these families as well, and have 2 books on the Marek family.
I am a frequent visitor to cemeteries, the older the better. I am on the coast of Maine now, Hancock County, and have photographed many gravestones around here and Washington County. I look forward to adding them to the database, and will gladly take any requests to find graves, as I love nothing more than visiting my 'friends' at the hundreds of cemeteries up here!
I am an expert in finding 'lost' cemeteries, which are located very deep in the woods or isolated areas and no longer have public access.

If you have any more relatives in Cleveland county, McLain County or Canadian county. I will be happy to take pictures for you.

RE: Thank you!
You are very welcome glad I could be of help. I cleaned it up as much as I could. Sometimes the older markers that are flat get overgrown with grass and a lot of dirt.

Pawtucket RI Crawfords
Thank you for posting photos of your family. In 2010 my husband and I bought a home which was built by the brother of your great, great, great grandfather George Crawford. His name was John H. Crawford. George and John had real estate properties together and there was a plat named for both in Pawtucket Rhode Island. He and members of his family continued to live in the home until about 1950. We've done a bit of research on the John H. Crawford family line but had no luck finding photos of him or the house as it would have originally been built. We are looking to restore to the house in the future.

If you like, you can contact me through posted messages or at should you have anything to share that would help our search for information on John H Crawford.

Sheila Smith
Hi, It was really hard to finally find the info of where "Sheila" was buried. But luckily the spouses and/or dependents, are usually buried in the same plot and share the same headstone, in most national cemeteries. So after taking Jack
Smith's picture of his side of the headstone, I looked on the other side of the headstone and there was "Dyann Connor." Who would have thought to spell the name that way...? Not me. Anyway, I got the picture and it's on her memorial. LC

Hi, I've checked with the VA and went online to the VA site. There is no Sheila Smith listed as being buried at the Ft. Bliss National Cemetery. Was she Jack Smith's wife or daughter? If so, they could be buried in the same plot. I'll be going out soon to take Jack Smith's headstone picture and see if she is at the site with him. Then I'll take the picture of her headstone too. LC

RE: Cousins
I have linked Earl S Crawford with his two wives. His first wife was cremated. Do you know if there is a marker somewhere?
