I was born in Oak Park and raised in Forest Park, IL. My occupation is professional musician. My parents were Billy Albright and Jane Elizabeth Gray. |
My paternal grandparents were William Albright and Myrtle Volmuth, owners of many "Albright's" resturants/taverns in Chicago and the suburbs for over 50 years.
My maternal grandparents were Charles Franklin Gray and Elsie Lillian Nason. Charles, a real-estate broker in Chicago, was the grandson of Moses Gray, a Chicago pioneer. Moses arrived in Chicago in 1837. He established the "Traveler's Home" hotel and the "National Hotel" in the 1840s and in 1856, he established "Moses Gray & Company", a commission business that the family owned and operated in Chicago until 1927.
