I am honored to maintain memorials for all Philadelphia Police Officers that died in the line-of-duty and those Brothers buried in the Soldiers' Home burial Lot at Mount Moriah Cemetery (Yeadon, Pa.) to embrace "the Warrior Ethos of honoring the sacrifice of those fellow Soldiers who died in service to our Nation."

|Theresa O||Joseph DiDomenico|
I went to Holy Cross to fulfill your request for Joseph at Section 35, Row 1, Lot 35, but that first row is all huge mausoleum houses. None say DiDomenico and I checked all around the structures and the few flat headstones that were in Row 1. The flat headstones had surnames that matched the mausoleums. I will check the whole section when I go back, but did the office say whether or not Joseph was placed in a mausoleum?
|Theresa O||Joseph McGinn|
I posted the photo of Joseph's wife's headstone, but I had to "play" with it to be able to clearly read the inscription. If you would like the original photo, if you send me your email address, I will email it to you. That way you can see if you can "play" with it yourself or post as is or leave it the way I posted it. It's up to you. I think I had your email address before, but I didn't save it. My email is email@example.com. Let me know if you want me to delete the current picture, and I don't need credit if you can fix the picture, that's great! Also, you never got back to me about Francis Byrnes. Did they give you the wrong location?
|Theresa O||Officer Joseph McGinn|
Hi! I went to Holy Cross today to fulfill some requests and went to Joseph McGinn's location at Section 55, Row 13, Lot 15 and I took photos of the headstones. The problem is that when I tried to fulfill it, I realized neither stone is for Officer McGinn. There is one engraved with his wife's name and one engraved with his son, Andrew and granddaughter, Andrea's names on it. Both of these headstones are already photographed on the stated names' memorials. if you want me to post either or both of them on Officer McGinn's memorial, just let me know. Thanks!
|Theresa O||Peter Francis Byrnes - Holy Cross|
Hi, there is no headstone for Peter, but there is a headstone on his Lot for Francis X. Byrnes, a veteran, born 1907 and died 1970. Do you want me to post Francis' on Peter's memorial page?

Sorry for the duplicate. I try hard to make sure mine is not already on here but sometimes the searches do not come up with what you're looking for. Thanks for pointing it out!
Just read this note, Some photos on IPads and iPhones are sideways and even upside-down, but they aren't on the site or on a computer.. I learned this right after I got my iPad.

Thank you! Sts. Peter and Paul is a much nicer cemetery to walk through, although both it and Holy Cross need a lot of work. It's a shame how neglected they are but of course, the Philly Archdiocese claims their money had to go to individuals who won lawsuits against our priests (creepy abusers). So they had to sell 20 year options on the cemeteries.
|Theresa O||RE: Thomas McVay|
Hi, I posted another picture on Thomas' memorial page without editing so you can see how I had to take it. The headstone that is on the ground was put in crooked and like I said, the workers shovel was standing up by itself, stuck in the ground right out of view in the fron of the stone. I know it's awkward and I don't like that stone so messy. I need to take it again, but if you want me to take one or both off in the meantime, that's no problem.
