Family history buff since 2008. Convert to the value of burial grounds and grave stones. |
If I have a memorial for someone who is not my kin or otherwise known to me, I will gladly transfer it to you on request.

Hello Sharon, I had no luck today looking for Mercy Stone's headstone. She is indeed buried in Sect.1 at Fairview along with her husband Alexander, according to Glenna. The stones in Sect. 1, many are barely readable, so I will look again next time I'm up that way. The historical Society has many books for sale and lots of files on families- next time you're up this way, you need to research these families- I think you'd be amazed at all the info they have. Take Care! :)

Eunice Brewster. Wow! That was a long time ago. I haven't done Jefferson County in quite some time. What do you need to know?

Added a photograph of her marker (marker has her name spelled Sara). Quite an interesting lady! VV
thanks for the birth dates. Are they relatives of yours?

Great photo, and you are right 1851, so I have changed the date. Thank you for putting a better photo on the listing.
Keep up the good work

This is the list we went by when searching the cemetery: http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~nyschuyl/mecklen1.htm
It was not an easy task because the stones are not in that order :)
If you see any other Davey's just let me know I can run out and photo them. I saw a lot of names, so I can't remember if there were other Davey's there or not.

Because the first stone is so old and I suppose that a family member added the new one. I really don't know why there are two. Sorry
