I enjoy writing and sharing my research with others. Contact me through Find A Grave if interested in my information or wanting to share. Thank you.|
Please do not claim a photo request for several weeks and then mysteriously "unclaim" it. This deters others from taking the photo.
Please do not Photoshop, or "clean-up" my photos and then re-post them on my memorials. Thanks.
When submitting "corrections" to memorials for birthdates, etc., please cite your source for this information. Changes will not be made without providing evidence.
If you do not receive a reply from me, it may be because you did not provide an email to contact you. I don't always like to leave a public message when responding.
I maintain memorials for all Philadelphia Police Officers that died in the line-of-duty and those Brothers buried in the Soldiers' Home burial Lot at Mount Moriah Cemetery (Yeadon, Pa.) to embrace "the Warrior Ethos of honoring the sacrifice of those fellow Soldiers who died in service to our Nation."
I claim copyright for my research and photographs. It is copyright infringement for others to use my materials without my knowledge or permission. It is best to contact me via email and request permission.

The siblings are showing on the memorial. Thanks for doing this request so promptly. It is a lovely
memorial to a courageous officer.

Thank you for this beautiful memorial to my grand uncle. Could you add the following relationship links to his memorial.
Joseph Hurwitz buried Har Nebo Cemetery 78859168
Jannie Tractenburg Hurwitz buried Har Nebo
Mary Hurwitz Salzstein buried Montfiore 79419406
Louis Hurwitz buried Greenwood Memorial Park 79576475
There are other siblings that I have not as yet found. They are Minnie Hurwitz b 1895, Fanny Hurwitz born 1895, Morris Hurwitz born 1899 and Bella Hurwitz Green born 1905. I have no idea why his surname was changed to Hewitt. It has puzzled me for ages

If you wouldn't mind sending me your email address, I will email the Dowling and Manley pictures to you. The problem is with Manley that when I bring up his memorial page, the picture is not sideways, so if you want, I can delete mine and email them for you to post. Regarding the ones who do not have a headstone, I wasn't aware that people still wanted pictures of the empty plot. Do you know if this is normal procedure? I've been finding a lot of empty plots lately and no one states if there is not headstone, take a picture anyway. I would be grateful if you could tell me and I am happy to go back and take a picture. Thank you!
|Bum||Family in Randolph/Washington Twp.|
Hello, Steve Eichinger suggested that I try to get in touch with you to possibly help me with my research. I am trying to find more info about a John and Esther A. Rakes/Rake Family that lived in Randolph/Washington Twp. from 1850 on. Esther A. Rake, I believe is Hess Rake, who helped make the Civil War Commemorative Flag in 1865, at the Bridgeport Tavern. John and Esther A. Rake's daughter, Esther A. married Aaron Mathis in 1867, at Lower Bank, Burlington, NJ. My wife and I are in New Gretna very often, my wife is from there and we keep a sailboat at Viking Marina. I have quite a bit of info that I would like to show you, to see if you may be able to help with this Family. I would love to meet with you, if you would not mind. Thank You, Wayne Bumm email@example.com

I tried to fulfill your headstone picture request for Thomas Dowling, 1888 - 1912 at Holy Cross in section U, row 8, lot 51, but realized after uploading the picture that it was of a family member's headstone. The only headstone on the grave was for John Patrick Dowling, a PA Seaman who died in 1935. I mistakenly "clicked" fulfilled and uploaded the picture and then realized it was the wrong family member. I removed the picture but, after searching for John Patrick, I saw someone posted his information so I placed the picture there. I'm sorry for my stupidity. At any rate, there is, unfortunately, no headstone with Thomas' name on it.
Apparently you created a record for him.
Here is the information about it.
Could I see it, please?

I am from the Library of Congress and am constructing a biography of Private Sergeant. I have some information but I am wondering if you can flesh out some of the details. I know he left the fair oaks battlefield and ended up in Connecticut but I am uncertain of his life between 1864 and 1869 when he went to Philadelphia. If you can help I will certainly appreciate it. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org and my telephone is 202-483-6818. Thanks again.
