I was born in 1945 in Vancouver, WA., and I have lived in Spokane, WA since 1950. I am a Vietnam Vet, a father of two girls, adopted dad of two more children and I claim my wife's three children, as well. I now have twelve grandchilden. |
I graduated from Eastern Washington Univ., taught school briefly, and just retired after fifteen years as the Facilities Manager for Spokane Teachers Credit Union.
You will get more volunteers to take the photos if you include the section and plot locations by calling the cemetery before making the request.
I am enjoying this hobby, but it can be very frustrating when you reach your "brick wall", as we all eventually do.

|The Girls||RE: Thora Cady|
I'm afraid I can't tell you much, as she died when I was a child and I never met her. I know she had a daughter with her second husband. His name was Harold D. Groves, and her daughter was Patricia May Groves Leigh - Patricia is also deceased, so I'll see if she has a Findagrave memorial. Thora later married Harry R. Cady.
|The Girls||Thora Cady|
Hi Jack :)
Thora was my great grandmother Alice Johnson Keen's niece (Thora's mother Myra is Alice's sister). I just added some information to her memorial and then noticed that you are also a Cady. Are you related to Thora? If so, I hope I didn't overstep my bounds there.
|Ellen Hamby||RE: yousuggestion to eliminate a duplication|
You wrote, "You are right about the two Ronald Hill memorials in Greenwood cemetery in Spokane, WA.
I have not figured out how to delete one of them, however. I have deleted duplicate photos but deleting the memorial is a different thing I guess.
I could maybe transfer it to you and you could delete it."
Don't transfer the memorial to me! Transferred memorials can't be deleted without going through the Edit people.
Along the top-right side of the memorial (above any photographs, and below the "Edit" tab) are buttons for the options "Transfer,""Edit," and "Delete."
You're welcome. This cemetery was quite a climb, at the top of a cow pasture, surrounded by barbed wire. I took a lot of photos, but I wasn't exhaustive (darn it). I'll plan to go back in the springtime. Glad I could help - Researcher

I am writing to ask if you would also add the same photo from Carl J. Anderson 73586020 to his wife's memorial -Lydia Anderson 73649172. Same cemetery, Fairmount Memorial Park in Spokane. Thanks!

Your welcome!..the site gets glitchy at times and adds duplicate memorials and/or photo's...
I have a completely free calendar for the next 2 weeks if you want to go grave hunting!

What a wonderful surprise to run across photos of family members' gravesites (Riverside Cemetery in Spokane). Thank you so much for all your hard work and contributions.
